Re: skype notifications

2012-02-05 Thread michael weaver
i keep trying to set the choice to contact is available but every
time i exit skype and relaunch skype, the choice i select in
notifications is set back to announcing "you have signed in" like
it is not saving my preferences properly.
i have checked the box for speak text and that has saved so i am
not sure what the problem is.

Yep that's the way to do it. Available is online, or I think

also away. I can't remember but I think availiable is online.

Take care.

Hi, sounds like for some reason you have restrictions turn on for this. Go
to settings, general and restrictions and check it out. HTH

Subject: skype notifications problem

i have been looking at skype and the problem of not being told as to which
of my contacts has come on-line.
i have noticed a strange thing and i wonder if this is the problem.
there is notifications under preferences but also there is something called
notifications settings under conversations which seems to be dimmed and i
can't seem to be able to do anything with this option so i am wondering if
this might be where my problem is as when i hit enter on it, voiceover just
goes back to the contacts browser.
