Adding to this. From UnExoticA pages:

**/
Also known as IFF-SMUS, its Another Electronic Arts standardised music
format, created along with 8SVX, ILBM and FTXT as the EA IFF 1984
specification. Other than the archaic Aegis Sonix and EA's own Deluxe
Music Construction Set (DMCS), almost no software uses this format.
/**

SMUS files can be played using "Sonix Music Driver" (Amiga?)

Also by the freeware "DeliPlayer 2" for MS Windows

Which may be a possibility for the OP, DeliPlayer supports more than
230+ music file formats. It can also save out using the stream recorder
plugin (mono only for the freeware version).
I haven't used this prog, so don't know if it's spyware etc, so YMMV.

I did some googling on this subject and found that Deluxe Music
apparently cannot export Standard MIDI Files, so you'll either have to
find a program that can import DMCS (Deluxe Music's native file format)
or SMUS (a music file format used on the Amiga computer) files, or hook
up a MIDI cable from one machine to another and play the songs from the
Deluxe Music machine while recording them with MIDI software of your
choice on the other machine.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall Deluxe Music having the
ability to export Standard MIDI Files (SMF). If that's so, then all you
need is a modern program that can import SMF.

My problem is not getting the files from the Mac to
the emulator, I can already do that.

I hope to change these old files (which are unreadable
by new programs) into modern files, so they can be
opened with state of the art music programs. One
person told me it's called cross conversion.

Thanks,

Justin

from what little I know music files should transfer with out much
problem, you may need to drag them onto the application to get them to
open after transfer or open them through the files/open menu in the app.

ethernet between a real mac and a emulator is easy and most compatible,
depending on the emulator.

Finally you can stuff the files and swap them across

Hello,

I have say 1000 files which were created using a 1985

I have already created a mac emulator, and it works
great, but I'm still hoping to find a cross over

files into modern files.

can anyone steer me in any direction?

the configurations.
To be honest I have no idea.
You might try ADB Parser 5.0.7 or you may have some luck with JoyManager
SDK 1.2 Your joystick is not mentioned in either.
I found both programs after buying a ADB gamepad without the software

ended up finding the software I needed.

Selective plug and play. :)
370k attachment if you'd like them sent, I'm only guessing they may help.
