Re: Apple Compatibility Card
Hello Ben, May not help, but when I bought a dos Quadra 610 back in 75', no one, even apple tech's could get it to print in DOS, or windows. Apple Au agreed to take it back and I got a full refund. Just before I sent it back I found another tech, who told me save the file in sylk format and then it printed fine. So perhaps you have to save your settings in a special format or a special way. As well it maybe that the TCP/IP needs extras or different settings to hadle DHCP. You may try loading IP addresses manually. Vic. Very happy, I am playing all my old dos games and running Windows 3.11. The problem is I have tried but can't setup my network on the 586 side. I have a TCP/IP network with DCHP, works fine on the Mac side. Any pointers would be great and I read somewhere that there are problems running the same protocol on both sides. If so, could someone explain the workaround clearer? Thanks for the Help, Ben Pazolli P.S. I not sure if this list is still operating, there has been very little activity and it hasn't made the transition to Google groups, if I don't receive a response in a day or two, I will repost this question on PCI PowerMacs. -- Mac-N-DOS is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac \ Support Low End Mac http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html Mac-N-DOS list info:http://lowendmac.com/lists/macndos.shtml -- AOL users, remove mailto:; Send list messages to: mailto:mac-n-dos@mail.maclaunch.com To unsubscribe, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] For digest mode, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscription questions: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-n-dos%40mail.maclaunch.com/ iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com -- Mac-N-DOS is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac \ Support Low End Mac http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html Mac-N-DOS list info:http://lowendmac.com/lists/macndos.shtml -- AOL users, remove mailto:; Send list messages to: mailto:mac-n-dos@mail.maclaunch.com To unsubscribe, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] For digest mode, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscription questions: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-n-dos%40mail.maclaunch.com/ iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com -- Mac-N-DOS is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac \ Support Low End Mac http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html Mac-N-DOS list info:http://lowendmac.com/lists/macndos.shtml -- AOL users, remove mailto:; Send list messages to: mailto:mac-n-dos@mail.maclaunch.com To unsubscribe, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] For digest mode, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscription questions: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-n-dos%40mail.maclaunch.com/ iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com

I downloaded the manual. Unfortunately they only have one available for version 5 of VPC. It wasn't very helpful, but on the other hand it's such a slim manual that I don't know if the right one would have been much more help. I'd really like to be able to open the help file that is installed with Windows, but I can't figure out why that won't open. If anyone does have a PDF of the version 2 manual, I'd appreciate it if you could email it to me. If anyone has an old written manual they don't need anymore, I'll buy it from you. tafkar -- Mac-N-DOS is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac \ Support Low End Mac http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html Mac-N-DOS list info:http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-n-dos.shtml Send list messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] For digest mode, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscription questions: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-n-dos%40mail.maclaunch.com/ Using a Macintosh? virtualpc 2
I just purchased VirtualPC 2.1.1 with Windows95 from ebay. I thought I was buying the whole program package, but it turned out to be lacking a user manual. I installed it on a 7600/200 with OS 9.1 and updated the program to verison 2.1.3. It runs fine, and I'm fairly familiar with Win95 because that's what I use at work. I see there's an application called VirtualPC help on the Windows side, but nothing happens when I try to run it. If anyone on the list is familiar with this program, perhaps you have an idea why this help program won't run. Or, if you know of a source of info for using VPC2 I would appreciate it. Apparently, Connectix no longer supports this version of VPC. tafkar -- Mac-N-DOS is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac \ Support Low End Mac http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html Mac-N-DOS list info:http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-n-dos.shtml Send list messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] For digest mode, email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscription questions: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-n-dos%40mail.maclaunch.com/ Using a Macintosh?
