It's been tested with perl 5.6.0 and gcc2/gcc3 on Mac OS X 10.2, but I
imagine it should work with any combination of perl 5.6.0/5.6.1/5.8.0,
gcc2/gcc3, and Mac OS X 10.1/10.2.

There was something in the docs about installing with fink.  I'm not 
sure which ones, but I think that it was the article on Apple's site.
