Thanks !

Why not just use the numerical OS identifier, instead of the random cat/ place
names ? Much easier sorting… (and personally I prefer them not that that
matters)

Any new builder needs to be added using the admin console. I have added the
builder and builds will now start showing up. But I think the sorting of the
builders needs some improvements. I will work on that later tonight.

Thanks

ports.macports.org not showing macOS12 builds

2021-10-31 Thread Chris Jones
Hi,

I’ve noticed the macOS12 buildbot builds are starting to run, but the ports
site

https://ports.macports.org/all_builds/

Doesn’t seem to be picking up these builds. Does it need updating to do this ?

Cheers Chris

I’ve just reported this issue via Feedback Assistant. I’ve been using Macs
since 2004, but actually didn’t know about Feedback Assistent. Until now I’ve
only used https://www.apple.com/feedback/, but Feedback Assistant is nice, so
thanks for pointing that out.

Nils.

Apart from adding that link to the MacPorts warning message, would it be a good
idea to let that wiki page more explicitly state that this is caused by a macOS
bug and that we recommend reporting this issue to Apple via the Feedback
Assistant when you are affected by this?

Ah, now I remember I’ve had to this on previous OS upgrades as well, but I also
remember MacPorts used to refer to the URL that explains how to fix this. Could
that link be added to the warning message again, so users will know what to do?
