(but only if you're not using anything else in MacPorts)


Have you found another way to run ROOT? What doesn't work in the 
MacPorts version?

First verify which one is installed:

port echo installed and "root*"

Then remove those:

sudo port uninstall root5 <-- put the actual installed port name(s)
