However, MacPorts base does build on Linux systems (if you install some GNUstep libraries and have an Objective-C compiler). I shall warn you though: Pretty much the only useful thing you can do with this Linux version of MacPorts is generate a PortIndex and mirror distfiles. Experimental packaging is available for the FreeBSD (.tbz package), Fedora (.rpm package) and Ubuntu (.deb package) operating systems. Do we have any of these?
