solved my Garage band problem
Hey guys. I figured out why I wasn't seeing everything in the arrange layout area before with Voiceover. I was in the track info group area and realized I needed to stop interacting with this to get to arrange layout. For some reason, I didn't think of that before, I didn't know I was always in a group area every time I opened up my project. Hello List. I hope to be getting my Stand Scan Pro in a couple of weeks as it was shipped to me last week. However, (forgive me if this has been discussed), as there is a lot of mail and I forget what people have said. Can you keep your phone in the case and use Stand Scan Pro? I have listened to the podcast on Apple Viz as I subscribed to it yesterday using Downcast. Thank you very much. Garage Band help
Hi, everyone. I tried sending this email twice last night, but I'm not sure what happened. I never saw my email message on the list. Anyway, here's what I said. I listened to Ricardo's podcast about some basics for using Garage Band. I think this was for version 6. I'm using Garage Band 11 with Mac OS 10.6.8. I've already created a project, but I want to add some drum beats from the Apple Loops into my song. When I'm in the window for the project, Voiceover isn't speaking everything listed like for the arrange layout area. It is just showing me the multiple time indicator ruler, time grid, the instrument tracks with the scroll area and the lock time to play heads check box. I'm not seeing anything else for the media or loop browser and Voiceover isn't announcing which area I'm currently in like for the arrange layout. How do I fix this problem? Also can you navigate the loop browser and select what you're looking for with Voiceover? Thanks for your help. Re: Comparison between Braille support in Jaws for Windows and voiceover?
Hi there again You should be able to do Marapata reading if you do the transformation I was talking about. This is in text edit, and I think it's under edit. I can't remember for sure, and I'm not looking at it right now. But you have to select all the text and do the transformation to change from upper case to lowercase. sighted people think it looks funny on the screen, but it reads wonderfully and braille if you do that. Re: Comparison between Braille support in Jaws for Windows and voiceover?
Hi there Another difference I have noticed, is the displaying of BRF files on the Mac compared to those on windows with Jaws. If you load in a BRF file from web braille, unless you want to see Dots seven and eight all the time, the first thing you have to do in TextEdit is a transformation from lowercase. In Jaws, you can turn dots 7 and eight off and just see your BRF files the way you normally would without showing the upper case all the time. Re: Comparison between Braille support in Jaws for Windows and voiceover?
Hi, The way that voiceover displays braille is closest to the line mode of displaying braille in jaws. You have full braille support including cursor routing, braille entry in both grade one and two, custom hotkey support, and so on. Re: Comparison between Braille support in Jaws for Windows and voiceover?
Actually, the cursor can be visible. You have to enable an option along the lines of "show selected text with dots 7 and 8" and your cursor will appear. Unfortunately, a bunch of text will start being shown with dots 7 and 8 below it, which gets old fast. So I guess it's a bit of a trade-off, but there is a way to show a cursor.
