Clean my mac.

2015-08-10 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
I have a problem with clean-my-mac-helper that i can’t solve.
It doesn’t seem to work with voiceover.
I open it and voiceover can’t focus on it.
I’ve tried anything i can think of. Is there a command line tool similar to
this program or does it has its own command line parameters.
Thanks in advance.
/A

Hi all!
One more printer question. I Have this laser printer HP2100 pcl6 and have had
it for years. I've been looking online(maybe in the wrong place) to try and
find a toner cartridge for it. Anybody have specific sites they buy cartridges
from here in the u.s.?
Thanks,

Hello Jim,

Well here in the UK, eBay have a good number of sellers. I’m guessing Amazon
does too. Here’s one here. It gives you the part number. Perhaps you want to
look on HP’s website for the part number.

Just curious, but what would be the reason for doing this, especially if you
can't access certain ICloud features, unless you're the primary user. I'm
not saying it's pointless. I'm just not sure why you'd want to do this.
Can someone explain?

Yep. Just add more accounts in System Preferences under Internet Accounts.

Be aware that only the primary iCloud account can use certain iCloud
features such as iCloud Drive, Find My Mac or Back To My Mac. You’ll be
advised of this when you set up additional iCloud accounts.

2015-08-10 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

Some people have a specific Apple ID for their iTunes purchases and other media
related items and another one for FaceTime, iMessage and other iCloud services.
This is useful when family members use one Apple ID but like to have their own
personal Contacts, Mail and other iCloud service features. Not as important
now that Family Sharing is available but still useful to some. Other than
that, I'm not sure.

Importing an iTunes Book from the Mac to Voice Dream Reader on the iPhone

2015-08-10 Thread Eileen Misrahi
Hello All,

I have read the instructions from Voice Dream Reader to import a book purchased
from iTunes. I can view the book in iBooks on both my MacBook Air and iPhone6,
but the navigation aspects of both sites are less than desired. I would like to
import the book into Voice Dream Reader where I can have better navigation of
lines or paragraphs. The book is highly technical in nature, so I need to have
the ability of finer tuning in the book. I have synced the book through iTunes
to my iPhone6. I have located where the iTunes Media is stored on my Mac, but
when I check it out, there is no book subfolder with the book listed. Do I need
to sync back the book? Is there another location I need to look in? Please
advise as I am perplexed in why I can’t see the book subfolder in the music
folder under iTunes.

thanks in advance.

Focus 40 blue key command issues

2015-08-10 Thread Scott Granados
Hi,
So I am very new to braille displays and just obtained a Focus 40 blue
display that I’m having difficulties working with voice over.
I couldn’t find a command to close the window so I mapped space shift w
to close window using the voiceover command manager. When in email for example
if I issue this command it does not close the message I’m reading or in. Is
there a good way to close the active message I’m reading go return to the
message list? Why does the window map not work consistently?
Also, is there an equivalent way to set up a command h and command q?
How can I quit and easily hide applications like you would with the keyboard?
Any pointers and general pointers for working with a braille display would be
most welcomed.

Thank you
Scott

Re: auto complete and safari

2015-08-10 Thread Jim Gatteys
Well I did find out about delete forward to at least get rid of part of an
address. An example for me was going to http://www.amazon.com/access. If I
ever went to that site it would fill in the last thing I searched for which
made it really difficult. So I can now type http://www.amazon.com/access and
press function delete to delete forward and leave the remainder there. Maybe
everybody knows about this but I did not.
Thanks,

I'm not a fan of iBooks, so for now I'm trying to get use to the odd navigation

be a less frustrating experience for me to ascertain the technical content of
the textbook.

I forgot to mention Scott, I have a Focus Blue 14 and 40 but can't work them

Re: Large Numbers file and VoiceOver

2015-08-10 Thread Nicholas Parsons
I don’t know anyway around the problem, unfortunately. I suspect it’s a
consequence of Numbers being a memory hog, or something. But if you find away
around it, let me know. As a practical matter, I’ve found that once the row
count gets above 500 VoiceOver starts having difficulty.

Re: Focus 40 blue key command issues

2015-08-10 Thread Anne Robertson
Hello Scott,

I know of no way of mapping Mac commands to a Braille display. It only uses VO
commands so you have to use menu commands to close windows, quit applications,
save files, etc.

Cheers,

Anne

adding segWays and storyboard entry points using VoiceOver

2015-08-10 Thread Venkatesh Potluri
Hi,

How do we add segWays in xCode?

I have a demo app with 2 viewControllers (2 viewController scenes in
effect). My aim is to add a button to 1 ViewController that would take me
to the other. I could partially do this.

>From the library, I dragged a button on to the view inside the first
viewController in the main storyboard. From the connections inspector of
the button, I dragged the button next to action to the second
viewController. Here, I would want to select the show option. However,
VoiceOver does not speak any options in the small pop over that is
displayed. I was told about a popover being present with cited assistance.
How do I accomplish this with VoiceOver? I thought dragging a button next
to show in the connections inspector would help. However, under the trigger
segways, action is the only option.

also, How do I change the storyboard entry point from 1 viewController to
the other?

Thank you.

Regards,

Venkatesh
