Yes, indeed. Very frustrating. Whenever I need the source I just use curl
from the Terminal, although of course this is not always an option.

Weird. I can reproduce the issue. I even tried opening the inspector up

focus moved away from the source. Seems like a bug.

Re: Apple store now stocking accessibility items

2016-05-12 Thread Katie Zodrow
Hi Donna.
I went on Apple's site too earlier this afternoon and checked out some of the
accessibility products. That's really cool Apple is offering this now. Yes,
that's too bad they aren't selling the Baum Braille displays yet. I just got my
VarioUltra 40 Braille display in March. My counselor from Department of rehab
in California purchased this for me, and I just started getting training on it
this week.

Does IOS 9 or El Capitan have the voice memo app?

2016-05-12 Thread Georgina Joyce
Hello All,

I have a 6S Plus and don’t have an app called voice memo. A friend tells me it
is a standard app that is a part of IOS. I looked on the app store and don’t
see an app of that name by Apple. A Google search gives me plenty of guides to
use this simple app but no idea how to get it on my phone. Is it an app that
has been removed from the standard distribution of IOS?

If it has been removed. What do you recommend to make voice recordings that
maintain a quality audio recording while keeping the file size down. I know
that people are using roger but the recipient of my voice memos / recordings
does not want to install another app.

As I have a very good microphone connected to my Mac mini I’ve been using
QuickTime but I can’t reduce the file size to send via email.

Looking forward to hearing your responses.

Thanks,

Gena

So Dora, how good is your Hindi? Chinese any better? Vietnamese then?

Most people speak english to some degree, I believe it’s about 78% of the
world’s population but for most of the world it is not their primary language.
SO I give them credit for being able to speak more than one language. That is
not an ability that I have and when I’ve tried I haven’t been that successful.
So it’s easy to criticize but I figure if someone’s working with a second or
third language they are already 1 or 2 ahead of me.

You’re also talking probably about people in some rough conditions. Nigeria
for example has oil as it’s primary industry and scams as it’s second.
(seriously) So you have people in horrible conditions sending out these
messages and scamming people. They probably never formally learned english.

So who knows where they come from. Maybe they never have even gone to a
school. Maybe they have and are being victimized to do this. You neve know.

Well, hopefully IPV6 will help with some of this since there won’t be any more
NAT and individual allocations are a lot more likely or possible. At a
minimum, most people will migrate to static.

Still though you make excellent points.

Thanks for expanding on the topic.

primarily yes, but since IPs aren’t always static and reverse DNS is easily
spoofable there are some that do use exact message makeup from a blacklist and
others that do phrase matching, not saying all work the same however. That
being said if I was going to phish for a password I might send out a couple
thousand properly spelled ones and then keep shifting typos and cycling through
my available IPs through different proxy servers.
