also, yes, I did google this and while I found an older tutorial on
the AFB web site, the level of accessibility they walk you through
does not appear to be the case in the current version of the app.

Kindel books and the iOS app etc.

2017-01-10 Thread Cameron Strife
Hi everybody.

There were a few books I wanted to read that were not available from
the iBook store so I had to use amazon and buy the Kindel editions of
them.

Does anybody have any tips for using this app on an iOS device? iBooks
is great in terms of navigation etc but with the Kindel app, while I
can read the book from the beginning, I can't seem to do anything
else.

If this won't work with vo on iOS, is there a way I can somehow
load/convert these kindel format books and read them on mac or windows
somehow?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Cameron.

Re: Sophos Home

2017-01-10 Thread Kawal Gucukoglu
To date, I don't have any virus software running on my Mac.

I don't know if I should as I don't download any third party apps for my Mac
and only use the built in sotware provided by Apple. Touch wood, I don't get a
virus.

Hey guys. I found the file. Apparently, for the Mac at least, anything to do
with RS Games is kept in a folder called ZGP located in

RE: Sophos Home

2017-01-10 Thread Simon Fogarty
Hi Chris,

Yes have been using Sophos for almost 9 years now.

They released the home version approx. 18 months ago.

We use it at work and recommend it for students and staff for personal
machines,

We have a corporate licence for anything business owned

The fact you can have 10 machines from either platform running it makes it a
great deal and it's very easy to use / configure for your use.

Evening everyone.

Thought I would spread the word about Sophos Home. If you want a free, fully
accessible antivirus, not only for Windows but for Mac too, then this is it.
Best of all, you can install on up to 10 Windows and Mac computers per Sophos
Home account, which is also free. Nothing else more to say, so go here
home.sophos.com and enjoy the same protection that business Sophos users enjoy.

Re: Urgent, urgent Apple Logo appears with a message Installing Progress has not windows sometimes when I turn on My Mac computer!

2017-01-10 Thread E.T.

Traci and all,
I no longer pay any attention to such messages at login. My system
seems to run just fine after I am logged in.

I have a suspicion this anomaly is due to timing of events that take
place during boot up. In other words, these events are not totally in
sync and VO may be slightly out of sync and speaking events that are
already done with.

I see this occasionally when opening or closing apps or doing other
tasks and I will hear something like "has no window".

From E.T.'s Keyboard. . .
I have seen the truth and it makes no sense.

nbagent has no windows
Location Menu has no windows

I’ve also got the installer progress window. What do you think is causing this
behavior?

I may need to go onto the MacVisionaries mail archive list to read the past
responses. I thought I initially saw 18 messages inside the thread, but now I
only see 2. I remember some earlier instructions about holding down a key
combination while starting up.

Thank you, for your help,
Traci
