You are correct, it should have come with discriptive video. There
were several things in the video that should have been explaned in
order to target the correct audience. Sorry, but it seemed to be
almost promoted like you would a new toy for boys to play with.

Re: Question re Fruitpot on IOS

2017-03-09 Thread Maria Chapman
HI.

You can also swipe down to hold or nudge. Just find the reel you want to hold
or nudge and swipe down. the only problem I’ve found with this game, is when
it pops up an add and says something like watch video and get 10 nudges, After
I hear reward achieved, I can’t get anything else to work, or I get thrown in
to the app store. Does anyone know if there’s a way to dismiss the add without
taking the app out of the app switcher and relaunching it? If I turn the add
rewards off, will I still get shopping challenges?

Thanks.

 Hi Donna,
You would use the nudges if you were trying to spin 3 of the same fruit.
For example, you have an apple for reel 1, apple for reel 2 and grapes for
reel 3. Towards the right hand side of the screen, there is a nudges
button. Double tap this. Voiceover will announce, "Select the reel you
wish to nudge". Now double tap on reel 3 until you receive another apple.
If you happen to run out of nudges, another alternative is to use holds.
In this case, you would double tap on the "Holds" button. After Voiceover
announces, "Select the reel you wish to hold", you would select reels 1
and 2, both containing apples, and double tap the spin button. Hopefully
you would receive another apple when you spin.
I hope I haven't confused you further. It's a great game and very
 addictive.

Is there any interest in a review of and a little discussion around raspberry
Pis? I’m using one now which I set up entirely with out assistance using my

though it is a non apple product and in terms of the topic of this list
probably skirts the edges but if the moderators are willing and there’s
interest I’d be happy to post here. If not I’m happy to close the thread if

Hi Mika again, to answer the other questions:

We're still in the process of figuring out how low we can go with the price
using the components we have, but it will be much cheaper than any of the
solutions out there in terms of access tech which I personally find to be
extortion.

We are working hard to distribute more beta units locally and will be releasing
the full product in july.

Re: New navigation device with accessibility in mind

2017-03-09 Thread Yuma Decaux
Hi Vica,

Thanks for the input. I guess being the developer, I kind of forget that it
might not be something as evident haha.

I started this project when I realised I couldn't measure things around me
while renovating my house. From there, I searched for solutions around the net,
and couldn't find anything appropriate.

After a few prototypes, we added the navigation feature which allows you to
walk around a place confidently. Some of our first beta users are saying this
is much better than the mini guide, as it has a longer range and is more
precise. Adding both tactile and audio feedback in a 3D binaural space also
increases the confidence level when walking around.

We are optimising the components inside to allow us to navigate outdoors at a
much faster pace. Namely, a GPS module with an error margin of centimeters and
our challenge is to be able to jog around parcs using the bread crumbing
feature, which I'll post a video of in the coming weeks.

Thanks for your feedback though, I'll record something more along that line.

Have a great day

Hi,
Can you just explain practical situations how it can help in your life?

I mean it doesn't matter what features it has if we don't know how
practically what kinds of tasks or things it could help with in the
real world. :)

Also how much will it cost and when will it be available?

Just want those kinds of nuts and bolts details.

Best,

If you create a folder under your Gmail account on Macintosh Mail, and you
are using the IMAP protocol to retrieve e-mails then this will create a
label on the web page.

Let me know if you need more details.

Re: Making a group of people to send them an email each time

2017-03-09 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

It's relatively easy on the Mac. Go into the Contacts app, up to the File menu
and select "New Group". Give the Group a name then go back to the All Contacts
list. You can copy and paste contacts from that list into the Group. Once
you've populated the group, you can now just enter the first few letters of the
group name in the Mail address field, and you're good to go.

Filling out Doc File forms

2017-03-09 Thread Sharon Hooley
Hi,

Is there a way, to fill out Doc file forms using either my iPhone 5S with IOS
10 plus, or the Mac with OS Sierra? I know there are versions of Microsoft
Office, but I don’t want to pay a subscription, and I don’t do this sort of
thing very often. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks much,

Re: Voiceover keyboard shortcut switching languages

2017-03-09 Thread Anne Robertson
Hello Traci,

I don’t really understand your problem with switching languages. I always leave
the voice rotor on Default Voice, so I just have to do VO-Cmd-Down Arrow to
change languages.
However, you could create an activity for any other language which would also
allow you to change the Braille settings. You could then just switch
activities. The command to open the Activity Chooser is VO-x and VO-X-X takes
you to the previous activity.

Cheers,

Anne
