Re: A question

2019-11-22 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

The backup would have all your settings, pointers to apps and iCloud data, as
well as non-Cloud based data. When it comes to Gmail, it is setup using iMap,
which means that all gMail messages and such are stored on Google's servers, so
even if you did have some local messages stored, it would sync up with the
server and all would go away once again. Sorry.

Would iCloud Backup have all the Gmail? Is iCloud backup, Settings + Your Name
+ iCloud and tapping on the last iCloud Backup to get a list of dates to choose
from? It seems that all the 2019 Gmail was deleted. All Messages and Photos are
still on the iPhone.

Re: How Do I Pair AirPods with My MacBook?

2019-11-22 Thread David The Computer Guy
You got a open up System Preferences>Bluetooth and pair them up there, There is
a little button on the backside of the container that the AirPods come in that
you press to start the pairing process.

How Do I Pair AirPods with My MacBook?

2019-11-22 Thread 'Eileen Scrivani' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I’m trying to pair a new pair of AirPods with my 2014 Mac Book Pro. I can’t
figure out where to look for the settings that will allow me to do this. Can
anyone give me directions?

Re: A question

2019-11-22 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I doubt that it has anything to do with indexing. I've seen this happen to a
number of students lately, but chalked that up to a bit of mischief. I've also
read that there's a script out there whereby, if it somehow infects your Google
account, it will delete all mail and Google Drive files. As far as I can
recall, it's a Google Chrome script, so it may not be a factor in this case.
If the Trash was not emptied, then moving them back is about the best you can
do right now.

the newly created folders? Right now my father is putting everything back by
selecting a message at a time and moving the selected Email to a folder. My
father also has the iPad Air 3 I bought him.
