Paul, you should explore the sister app called Voice Dream writer. It is more of a text base app and allows you to move through text files sentence by sentence paragraph, word by word and so forth. It is exactly for the reasons you state that I bought Voice Dream Writer and I couldn’t work without it now. It’s only real drawback is it’s inability to import anything but.txt files. But, in order to get around this, I import my files into voice dream reader, and then export them to Writer. That way I can move any type of file, PDF, RTF, and so forth from reader into Writer. An excellent app I suggest you look into it. Hello, Yes it will connect to both the Mac and iPhone. The only issue I have when using it with my iPhone is that when you are in an edit field the cursor blinks constantly. If I could get that to stop I would use it more. Other than that it works well with both.
