RE: iPad Os 13.4 battery usage

Yeah 2 or 3 times and updated earlier today to 13.4.1 but still the power
drains.

Might just hit it with my hammer and see what happens.
Cheers.

Catalina one needs to verify an app or something like that once it is installed
as part of the security. How does one do this again. I’m not Overly worried
about VoiceOver accessibility as my wife doesn’t use it. However we might turn
on VoiceOver while we are installing it and setting it up so I can help her.

Re: how to recover Mail sent sound

2020-04-08 Thread Petrus Tuerlings
Well this isn’t going to be very helpful, but when I first got my Mac well over
a year ago the swish sound for outgoing mail was very quiet and I could hardly
hear it, somehow I managed to fix it but can’t remember how. What if you
pressed the volume up key straight after you send mail?

Subject: Creating a web site

Hi everyone, hope you are staying safe.

In this time of great boredom I would like to create a web site for my family.
A simple one with no ecommerce etc.

Has anyone got experience with a provider who is voice over friendly? I am
reasonable tec savvy but not a coder or html person. Square space looks good
but I can’t find a way to contact them about such a specific question.

Thanks in advance
Ian

Thanks for the follow-up, Tim. For me, because the Logitech keyboard performs
so much better when QuickNav is on, I always keep it activated. I have sent
that information to accessibility.

hi,

The send mail sound is called "Swoosh". You won't find it in the Sound Effects
pane though. I don't believe that you can set individual alert sound volumes
though.

Re: Upgrade to iPad OS 13.4 broke my Logiteh Slim Combo keyboard

2020-04-08 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I received a response from Apple Accessibility this morning. They requested
that I update to 13.4.1 and get back to them. I, too, did not notice any
improvement to the keyboard behaviour on iPad. I also did some more rigorous
testing on iPhone with my Magic Keyboard 2 and it also exhibits similar
behaviours, especially in Mail and Safari. Messages seems to be OK and the
Home screen navigation seem OK for me as well. QuickNav on the Home screens
and Messages seems to work, but is useless in Mail and Safari. I have updated
Apple Accessibility with my findings, but you are all welcome to add in any
inconsistencies you've found as well. Be sure to verify if the behaviour
presents itself during QuickNav or other navigation modes.

RE: Creating a web site

2020-04-08 Thread Mich Verrier
Hi all I to would like to create a websight and like ian and others I know
nothing about html or wrighting coade or anything. What I am looking for is
something where I can just input what I want into different edit fields and
then tabb over to dun and the websight will do the rest. the edit fields would
be cald things like websight name then what it is about and stuff like that.
In short I am seeking something that is simple works with jaws 18 and is
accessible but demands as little work as possible on my part. I remember years
ago reading something about simple web sight builder but forget what it was
cald or anything since I red about it years ago. From Mich.

Ian

This may be too technical for you, but you don’t necessarily have to write
HTML. And, it’s free. Also, this is a rather old article, so things may be
slightly different.

iPad Os 13.4 battery usage

2020-04-08 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Hi Lists,

Did anyone notice when they updated to iPad os 13.4 that it's battery usage
went off the dial?

I've got an ipad mini 5 that has gone through 2 full battery charges in the
passed 4 days

And that's when it's been sitting on stand by in it's sleve for all but a
couple of hours,

I can't see that the new Brydge .9" Bluetooth keyboard I received on Monday
would have sucked the life out of the ipad.
