Re: Accessibility issues inside the amazon application

Not personally surprised the so called captcha solutions have been
nonfunctional for several months now at least.
My conversations with Amazon indicate their disability team exists to put
items in carts, not to address correct or impact any aspect of inclusion

Honestly, this is very frustrating and the fact that amazon is so big that they

I have been thinking about purchasing this program for quite some time.
Can you clone all petitions including recovery?
Superduper is another one I've been looking at but I don't know the advantages
and disadvantages versus this program.

Accessibility issues inside the amazon application

2020-08-13 Thread Eric Oyen
Hello all,

Recently, I had a bit of a go around with disability support on amazon.
Essentially, I was confronted with their captcha system when trying to get the
app to log in. After the password was accepted, the captcha came up and I
tapped the audio alternative, only to be confronted with a page that stated
“the page you requested does not exist”. After calling amazon customer support,
I was told there wasn’t anything they could do about this currently.

So, are there apps on the App Store that anyone knows of that can read a
captcha and solve it? I tried finding a few, only to end up with a lot of
search results for image rendering, editing and the like. Not one single solver
in the bunch.

Honestly, this is very frustrating and the fact that amazon is so big that they
feel they can flout the law makes it even more so. Any suggestions or help
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Re: Big Sur beta installation stuck

2020-08-13 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Mac APFS is a confusing system. You can delete things, empty the trash, and
then startup time_machine and restore the file even if you do not have a time
machine disk. This is because of "snapshots". This might be related to
pursuable data. If you do have a time machine disk, make sure your backups are
complete and then empty the trash on all accounts ands see if that resolves
your space issues.
Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Big Sur beta installation stuck

2020-08-13 Thread 'Andrew Lamanche' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I’m enrolled in beta testing on my mac. I’ve just been trying to install first
beta of Big Sur but I get a message that 27 GB additional space on my hard
drive is required. I’m installing it on 120 GB macbook air and I have not got
significant stuff on it either. When I look at the info of my macintosh HD, it
says 37 GB available 10 GB purgeable (don’t know what it means). I can’t find
any folder that would take up so much room on my hard drive as I mostly use
icloud services. The largest folder in my home folder is 4 GB, the rest is
less than 1 GB. Any ideas?

Andrew
