Re: Playing through bluetooth speakers

2020-08-22 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,
Just an update I saw that SoundSorce from Rogue Amoeba recently got updated,
including some VoiceOver improvements.

https://rogueamoeba.com/soundsource/

Control the settings for your Mac's Output, Input, and Sound Effects audio
devices right from your menu bar.

Per-Application Audio Control
Change the volume of any app relative to others, and send individual apps to
different audio outputs.

Add Effects
Make any audio sound great, with powerful built-in effects, as well as advanced
Audio Unit support.

SOUNDSOURCE, IN-DEPTH
Obviously their web site needs some attention to alternative text for the
graphics.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Re: Zoom on a Mac

2020-08-22 Thread Robert Carter
Hi Lorie,

When you are in a Zoom meeting, bring up the list of users with command+u.
Select your name and choose the more options menu. In that menu, you will have
an option that says rename. If you choose that, your name will be in an edit
box. You can then change it.

I haven't done this yet completely. I do know that you have to have your Mac and
your iPhone airdrop both set to "allow me to be discovered by everyone.. if you
tap on the file you want to send and you see your Mac then tap on that. a dialogue
is supposed to come up on the Mac asking you where you want the file to go. this is
the part I haven't had experience with yet. I don't know if it just happens or if
you hve to press command-shift-r in finder on your Mac for it to come up.

Hi!
I made a recording with Dictaphone on iPhone and want to move it to the Mac. I
put it in Airdrop, but cannot access it with Voiceover. Would you help me find
files in Airdrop or recommend me another way to move the recording from iPhone
to Mac?
