The former includes a modem for connecting to mobile networks (probably
4G), whereas the latter doesn't.

Re: Dock issue in Big Sur

2020-12-24 Thread Jonathan Cohn
I found a way that appears to work that is simpler.
Use vo-command-shift-space. I had to think like a sighted user again to
consider that one!

So, vo-D to move to the dock, then vo-shifft-control-space mouse down on
current VO element.

It appears that one does not have to use the VO-shift-control-space a second
time to release the mouse.

Re: A couple of data locations

2020-12-24 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,
First, move to your home directory in Finder.
Now, press command-J to bring up view preferences.

Near the bottom of this panel is a show library folder checkbox.
Check this, and then close the view options window.
Now pressing command-shift-L will open a view of your library folder. There is
a first level "mail" folder in there.

In terms of Overcast, that will be much more difficult, since modern
applications use sandboxes to protect one applications files from other
applications. These are in the Library directory
Under Group Containers if I am not mistaken.

However, the directories under Group Containers use a hash key for their file
name.

There might be some files in the iCloud directory. You could certainly check
and see if Overdrive has an iCloud directory.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Re: SSL Certificate Madness (Rant)

2020-12-24 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,
Jost to add to this, you can sort the certificates by using the table header
command vo-verticleBar (or in C type languages or bar ). Then vo-space on the
column you want. I found in my keychain I had an expired certificate for a boss
that I stopped working for 10 years ago, and his certificate expired in 2010. I
haven't talked to him in 5 years,. So I deleted that certificate hash from my
keychain. I still have about 40 expired certificates in my login keychain,
though I know there are some cases where these might still be useful, so I am
leaving them alone.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn
