Re: iPhone Safari/NetNews Wire not responding to VoiceOver.

2021-07-13 Thread Jonathan Cohn
I ended up resolving this by turning off voiceover tapping in the middle of the
screen and then turning voiceover back on. I believe at that point the rotor
item had re-appeared.
Hopefully screen recognition controls will get some help in the new release.
I just might upgrade my personal phone in addition to my testing iPad so that I
can play with this some in a place where if it gcan be reproduced will have a
chance of being fixed.
Jonathan

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Not sure about this directly, but turning off the screen saver functionality
has not always worked as expected in MacOS, I find it much better to set the
timeout to 30/40 minutes. Best wishes,

You should be able to search for this setting in System Preferences.

RE: Mac mail

2021-07-13 Thread Candie B
Hi, Kliph.

Thanks so much for answering my query. I'm still trying to get it to work. It
seems like my MBA is not recognising the cursor commands, because random
announcements will be heard as I'm trying to use them. I saw that elusive 'Add'
button once, but it just disappeared again. I'll keep trying, though. Smiles.
I've tried the commands, both using the fn key, along with the number row keys,
and the function keys at the top. Neither seems to work reliably, and the
keyboard help doesn't even announce their functions.
Has much changed in Big Sur, or is it something I'm not doing properly?

Thanks again.

This is a tricky one. Take your vo cursor and put it at the top of favorites,
then make sure your cursor is rooted to that spot, turn cursor tracking off,
then interact with favorites add button, this is where you should get the
dialog that you can add a mailbox and. It should be a pop up menu, select the
mailbox you want, and you should be good to go.

Hi all.

I apologise if this has been covered; I've done a search with little luck.

Recently, due to some problems I started having with settings on my MBA, I
decided to update, and all my mail settings, including extra mailboxes,
favourites, and smart mailboxes have disappeared. I managed to get the regular
mailboxes back, and I'll restore the favourites manually. How, though, can I
get my 'all junk', all bin', and 'all drafts' back? I've read several forums,
and they say something about hovering the mouse over the favourites bar and
clicking 'add', but I cannot figure out exactly how to do that.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
