You have to shift tab to wear it says disconnect, and tab. You will then see

Mail question

2021-11-14 Thread 'Kristeen Hughes' via MacVisionaries
Since upgrading to Monterey, it seems I can no longer shift+tab and then tab to
get to a list of mailboxes. How can one quickly move to specific mailboxes. The
keyboard shortcut that Apple says works for this does nothing. It is
command+shift+o.

Well. Only I would come up with this one.

I transferred my 8Plus to my 13 pro max including e-sim. I had to do it via
iCloud. Verified the cell service worked fine. Well the icloud restoration
got hosed.. so I stopped the restoration. Signed out of icloud and reset
phone back to factory default. I connected to Wifi and Bluetooth. Managed to
transfer data from 1 phone to the other phone. Problem is no cell service on
either device. 6 AT&T tech support reps cannot figure it out. I have no
phone at all. Ugg.

Re: new iPhone

2021-11-14 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

When aligning anything to do with the camera from a blind prospective, do the
following:

• Set the old iPhone, or Apple Watch on a flat surface like a table or counter.
• Bring the camera very close to the older iPhone, or Apple Watch etc.
• Make sure that the lens for this iPhone is somewhat centred over the old
iPhone or Apple Watch.
• Slowly lift the camera iPhone straight up and away from the older iPhone or
Apple Watch, usually only to about 50 cm or 18 inches at the most.
• Normally, you’ll feel a haptic vibration, and the iPhone will announce
something, as it recognizes that you’ve accomplished the task.
• If you do not feel the vibration, or hear the prompt that it completed, then
repeat the above steps starting where you bring the camera close to the device
on the flat surface.

This has worked for me every time. Usually on the first or second try when
raising the iPhone. In fact, I just did this with a new Apple Watch on
Thursday.

HTH.

Later…

You can enter a passcode instead, as I recall, to initiate a transfer.

new iPhone

Hi all:

Just purchased a 13 Pro Max. Let me tell you, transferring the data from my
8Plus is a pain. Took me forever to line up the pairing circles. Wish VO
would give haptick feedback when you are lining them up. So far, I like the
13 pro max.
