ipad and passwords entry via physical keyboard

2022-05-19 Thread juanhernandez98
Hello All,

I just bought a new iPad pro 11” and I got the apple smart folio keyboard case.

I love this setup it works so good. My question is it possible to bring up the
password manager with the physical keyboard? When I use the virtual keyboard I
see the passwords option right above the keyboard but I don’t get that on the
physical keyboard Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Juan

Re: Cutting the cord with iPhone 13 hotspot

2022-05-19 Thread Herbie Allen
Personally, from my experiences, I would recommend you get a true hotspot from
your provider. This will have several benefits. One, theree is only so much
those phones can handle when it comes to data transfer. Checking email and
basic web surfing is ok, but try anything like Zoom, and you might find you’ll
have breakups and a warm phone. Getting a router will save your phones battery
and give you a better signal. the other is that you should be able to connect
your Echo devices and they should act the way you would expect.

Re: 3way phone conversation

2022-05-19 Thread Herbie Allen
While on the first call, hide the keypad using the hide button at the bottom
of your screen. You are then presented with a series of buttons. Look for the
add call button and find the contact you want to add. It will call them and put
the other person on hold. After they answer, look for the Merge calls button
and double tap. All parties will be connected.

Cutting the cord with iPhone 13 hotspot

2022-05-19 Thread Phil Halton
I’ve been able to get my MacBook Air working very well on my iPhone 13 hotspot.
It seems I have 5G service here in my home. My other main obstacle is trying to
connect the echo dot onto my hotspot network. I need the dot to work my Amazon
basics microwave and a few other things that have become accustomed to. It
seems the Alexa app has a glitch where this is becoming very difficult and
which there is a fix in progress. I just spent about two hours with Amazon
tech-support trying to get this to work to no avail and they assured me they
will contact me when the fix comes through. I’ll try not to hold my breath. Has
Has anyone been able to connect an Amazon echo device to their phones hotspot
yet. If this can be accomplished and I know it can be as soon as the fix comes
through, I can envision completely dropping Comcast cable and using Verizon
wireless for all my Internet needs , a very exciting prospect.

Re: A zoom annoyance with voiceover

2022-05-19 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hi,

it depends of which device you are speaking.
On a Mac you can disable theese messages in the Zoom settings. On an iPhone
you could tap three fingers three times to disable the voice of VoiceOver.

I often use Zoom on my Mac. And I need VoiceOver to be switched on to take
notes along the meeting. VoiceOver very often anounces „Zoom has new window“.
Is anyone aware of a way to avoid this message on a Mac and keep VoiceOver on?

Thanks and all the best
Jürgen

Sorry donna,

Realised my reply to you was not phrased well

Yes I meant you can hear it but others don’t - and I thought that was what you
wanted to know that others didn’t if you had headphones on

This is my top peeve with VO and Zoom. I wish it were possible to use

No, actually, I was asking if others hear it. I’ve always assumed that if I
wear headphones, I’m the only one who has to listen to VO babble. If that’s
not the case, I want to know. :)

 Hi,

There are settings under Accessibility after pressing cmd-comma that you
can configure to allow/disallow various announcements, but if you are
navigating with VO while in the Zoom session, the others in the Zoom meet
 will hear your VO speech.

I, like others, either use headphones so as not to bother others, mute VO

2022-05-19 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hi,
VPN by Apple on my iPhone disconnects after pressing the Sidebutton. That seems
to be the case because the WiFi connection will be disconnected then as well
except for some moments when the iPhone reconnects from time to time to look
for new e-Mails or updates or so. VPN doesn’t reconnct after waking up the
iPhone.
But I actually want VPN to stay connected. It’s the connection to my office
when I’m away from it.
Is anyone aware if other VPN apps like VPN Express keep this connection or does
it cut the connection as well?
All the best
Jürgen
