Hi,

This happens to me also. I find that if I command tab away from the text edit

Re: Command in Monterrey to Eject an external disk?

2022-10-13 Thread Janet Ingber
Hi Donna,
Is the item you want to eject a backup drive? If so, go to Finder and VO-Left
and Right Arrow until you hear the name of your drive. Then do Shift-VO-M and
arrow down to eject. It may take a minute or two before the drive is ready to
be ejected.

Hope this helps.

Voiceover does not speak at login by default. You can turn it on
with command F5. Then you want to go to System preferences, Users and
Groups, navigate to Login Options in the table. Navigate right the
Accessibility Options button, activate it. Interact with the table and
put a check on Voiceover. Stop interacting and click the Ok button.

Re: Syncing Messages Across Devices

Make sure you are running the most recent update of iOS and macOS, on all of
your devices.
That will be a problem, because your iPhone 6 cannot run the current version of
iOS.
Depending on which Mac mini you have, that could be a problem with the mini as
well.

Re: Syncing Messages Across Devices

2022-10-13 Thread Dave Carlson
Bill,

No, what you do is to press Command+comma when you have the messages app open.
Then you’ll find preferences specific to the app. This holds for many of the
apps on a Mac.

Re: Syncing Messages Across Devices

2022-10-13 Thread Herbie Allen
Seeral thoughts, was sink Messages in iCloud checked? Are you signed into the
same iCloud account? Also, on your phone, make sure your Mac shows up in
message forwarding. You will find that under messages (Yes, this one is
messages) under settings on your iPhone.

Re: iPhone 14 VO issue

2022-10-13 Thread Les Kriegler
Hi Donna,

Well, I just received my iPhone 14 Pro and I’m not experiencing this issue. The
only thing I can think of to try is the following. When you turn voiceover off,
shut down your phone. Then restart it. Once you are at your home screen, turn
voiceover back on and see if it holes. It is a weird one, however. I cannot
imagine why your default voice isn’t holding.

Re: Syncing Messages Across Devices

2022-10-13 Thread Dave Carlson
I think that should be iMessages option, not messages option.

Re: iPhone 14 VO issue

2022-10-13 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi Jason,

I did upgrade to 16.3. And I’ve turned the phone off and back on several
times, but the problem persists. It’s strange. I don’t have this issue on my
12 mini, though I haven’t upgraded it yet, it’s still running 16.02.
Cheers,
Donna
