Re: Opening Email Message in Mac?

2022-10-23 Thread Herbie Allen
You have several options. One way regardless of the file type is to do a VO M
which brings up your Menu bar and hit the letter F to bring up the file menu.
Aero down to Save Attachments, and hit enter or VO Space. You can then choose
your location. Another option is to interact with the message and VO End. You
will see the attachment and you can VO Space. You will see options to save to
your default downloads folder or you can still choose your location. If it’s
an audio file, hit tab until you get to the play button and do a VO Shift M
which will bring up the context menu. You can then go down to save attachments.
I use the latter methods myself, but I will use the file menu if the email has
multiple attachments that I want in one place.

Re: iBooks Newbie Question: How to scroll? Continuous reading?

2022-10-23 Thread 'Janina Sajka' via MacVisionaries
Thanks, Sandie. I believe I see that I can write my own notes, but
that's not the kind of notes I'm talking about. I'm talking about author
provided notes that may be explanatory, or may simply be detailed
citations to sources. In print these are usually indicated by a
superscript number at the end of the sentence to which the note applies.
Hearing these read out as though they are part of the primary narrative
text content can become highly disruptive when there are lots of them,
especially lots of the citation kind. Some texts become virtually
unreadable.

In the days of audio cassette books there weren't other options. To
still have no good options, despite our DAISY standards defining useful
behavior requirements 25 years ago is really outrageous, imo.

Best,

Janina

RE: Opening Email Message in Mac?

2022-10-23 Thread Fazil M.
One more thing; the desired message does not have message body but just an
attached *MP3 file.

Thanks!

Subject: Opening Email Message in Mac?

Hi, Group.

I have MacbookPro2017 with Montray12.6.

I, rarely, use Mac for email but I need to use it this time.

I am interacting with the table that has all the messages and I am trying to
open one of them but don’t know how to do it.

I am navigating all the columns with Quick Nav on, stop interacting on subject
column of the desired message and hit enter to open it but I am unable to open
it.

What Am I doing wrong here?

Thanks!
