2022-12-17 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Kliph and thank you for letting us know.

I do not have the words to express my sadness at this news.

I did not know Tim on a personal basis, but I do know that he made a difference
in this world with his kindness and thoughtful replies to those in this
community and, doubtless, many others as well.

I will never forget him; and that is a promise.

I've been experiencing this issue for quite a while, even going back to prior

Consider yourself fortunate if it is just now beginning to affect you and your

Re: Opening collapsed messages in Mail

2022-12-17 Thread 'Mary Ward' via MacVisionaries
I have had trouble with this on occasion. It usually happens when I first open
the app. After a while, things settle down and it does what it is supposed to
do.

It has actually helped for me to leave apps open. I was used to closing apps
down after use as a Windows user, but this strategy does not seem to transfer
as well to the Mac.

I could be wrong, but that is my impression.

Not sure where this setting is found in macOS Ventura.
In Monterey, and earlier versions of the OS, it can be found in System
Preferences > General.
This setting is on by default, so you really shouldn’t need to change it.

Hi, Group.

I heard that there is a check box somewhere in System Setting. When this box

close a file window, just like MSWindows. They have the option either to
save changes or do not save.

Could someone tell me where this check-box is, if there is any?

Hi Cliff,
Thanks for letting us know. As others have stated, this is incredibly sad. When
I was learning the Mac, Tim was my go-to-guy. Not only was he a wealth of
information, he was always happy to assist. My thoughts and prayers are with

Hi Cliff.
Wow, I had no idea that Tim Kilburn died on Wednesday. Very sorry to hear that.
I was wondering what happened to him since I had not heard from him on the
list in a long time. He would answer a lot of peoples questions if they had
problems with their iPhone or Mac. I remember he was able to answer some of my
tech questions if I had any problems with my Mac or iPhone, and was always very
helpful. I didn’t know Tim that well, but I remember he used to be on the MIDI
Mag list way back in 1999 and 2000 when I was in college.
Thanks for sharing this sad news about Tim. He will be missed.
