Re: Using the new macOS Sonoma

2023-09-27 Thread Kelly Ford
For me this happens if I have caps lock down and move into an edit box. I
reported it to Apple during the beta and find it vexing.

My current solution is to turn on arrow key quick nav more frequently and use
that instead of caps+left or right.

Do you have caps lock configured as a VoiceOver modifier? Mine is, and I can’t

I suppose you could try a double press of caps lock to turn it off, if it is on.

I’ve done both, and that’s gotten me next to nowhere. Interacting with the
first section starts displaying something about “stay up to date with
notifications, get notified about billing and product updates, etc.
Then there’s one before that with an unlabeled image, and nothing more that I
can scroll passed.
Therefore, I’m unable to locate the search box, and the usual fields I used
to be able to find that showed me what needed updating and the like aren’t
showing up anymore.

You should be using VoiceOver navigation commands to read, not tabbing.

Has anyone else noticed that since updating to Mac OS Sonoma , that Voiceover
seems to read nothing in regard to the App Store anymore? Also, no amount of
scrolling/tabbing seems to produce the search box on my end.

Re: App Store issues on Mac with latest update.

2023-09-27 Thread Jessica Moss
I’ve done both, and that’s gotten me next to nowhere. Interacting with the
first section starts displaying something about “stay up to date with
notifications, get notified about billing and product updates, etc.
Then there’s one before that with an unlabeled image, and nothing more that I
can scroll passed.
Therefore, I’m unable to locate the search box, and the usual fields I used
to be able to find that showed me what needed updating and the like aren’t
showing up anymore.

I just tried it, and it worked fine here. You have to interact with the
sections to reach the individual app entries.
The search field is immediately before the side bar.
