2024-01-29 Thread Karen Lewellen

Hi folks,
its slightly off topic, unless there is an apple associated accessibility
contact.
Still, I am wondering if Microsoft accessibility still has a direct phone
door, and, since Microsoft owns Linkedin as I understand things, one can
reach a human about access issues there?

Thanks,

Re: Reading DAISY books on Mac os Sonoma

2024-01-29 Thread Ian Robinson
Hi Simon,

I thought Easy Reader was free unless you need the premium features. I’ve just
checked the App Store and no price is shown for me.

There is also BookPlayer, though it was written for iOS and isn’t verified for
the Mac.

Re: Reading DAISY books on Mac os Sonoma

2024-01-29 Thread Chanelle Allen
For Bookshare books, it is possible to rename the XML file to HTM for reading
in Safari. Otherwise, there is Voice Dream Reader for Mac, but I think you have
to purchase a subscription.

Chanelle

Try voice Dream. You can purchase the Mac version or try the iPad version.

Hi,

Is there a way of reading DAISY books on the mac M1 chip? I mean reading using
voiceover and a Braille display? I know there’s Dolphin Easy reader but it
requires subscription which is not cheap.
