Re: Question about word

2024-03-09 Thread John Panarese
It's not the control key. The Mac uses the command key for the word commands.

As I said before, you can find the answers to most of these questions by
looking in the pull down menus in the Word Menu Bar on your Mac.

Re: Zoom H1 essential recorder with voice guidance

2024-03-09 Thread John Dowling, jr.
Hi Phil,
Once you turn it on, voice guide should already begin speaking. Jonathan Mosen
has a great review of this recorder on the Blind Podmakers podcast.
Just search for the blind pod maker on your podcast app of choice and you
should find it.
On the face of the recorder, just below the display, you should feel 4 buttons.
When you turn on the recorder for the first time, voice guide should say guide
plus beeps. You can scroll through the options by pressing the second and 3rd
button on that top column, and you hit enter, which is the last button on the
very top row to confirm. Make sure you choose guide plus beeps, or else it
won’t continue to speak. You shouldn’t have to go into the menu to enable it.
Hope this helps.

2024-03-09 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Re weird spelling, Yeah, I know
It does read high, I just take that into account when I use it, and as long
as my readings are in the same general range, I figure I’m OK. What I meant
when I said it works well, is that the app is accessible and easy to use. I
think it uses double A batteries, but I’ll have to check that later. I don’t
know of any other options that are accessible with the iPhone and VoiceOver, so
if you learn of any others, pass the info along, please.

2024-03-09 Thread Rebecca Sabo
Hi all,
I did try control e to center and control l and neither of those worked.
Any suggestions in using word on the Mac?

Hi Sarai,

I use the Qardio Arm—note the weird spelling. It works very well.
Best,
Donna

Zoom H1 essential recorder with voice guidance

2024-03-09 Thread Phil Halton
I saw this new recorder from Zoom in the 80 guys bulletin and so I picked one
up and it just arrived. Unfortunately the manuals are crap. Although, I think I
can suss out the various buttons and such. The problem is knowing how to
operate the menu system. I think you first have to go in and activate The voice
guidance, kinda like turning on voiceover for the first time. Is anybody else
using this recorder? I’m not gonna send it back right away, I’ll mess around
with it but I think I may have made a mistake purchase here. Please let me know
if you’re using it.
