Re: Does anyone know why voiceover voice volume fluctuates when using a Bluetooth speaker or CarPlay?

2023-05-11 Thread 'Candie Bridges' via MacVisionaries
Hi, Donna.

I also experience this. I would love to find a fix, as I really don’t like loud
screen reader voices, especially on my devices.
Audio ducking is off on my phone, but it still gets very loud, then drops, then
loud again, as you wrote. I’ve tried even turning the VoiceOver volume down to
5%, with no change.

Sorry I can’t offer any solution; looks like we’re stuck with this for now.

I agree with Herbie’s response; it wants to be extremely annoying. Smiles. It
certainly succeeds in that.

Candie

Re: Hide Apps in Mac App Store

2023-04-20 Thread 'Candie Bridges' via MacVisionaries
Hi.

I’m not sure if this will help. I have no one sighted to ask.
When looking at the App Store on the Mac, I simply cannot find this button or
anything like it - no options at all, except to open or redownload a specific
app. I tried interacting, but got the same results. I am unable to say whether
this was the same in a previous OS, because it is not something I have looked
for. I’m running the latest MacOS version.

Take care,
Candie

Re: Anyone Having a Problem with Nightowl?

2023-01-14 Thread 'Candie Bridges' via MacVisionaries
Hi all.

According to what I’ve been reading, most third party clients are not working
with Twitter. It seems to be a big problem for many. I wonder if it is because
of the changes they are making with the timelines. Hopefully, they’ll fix it,
unless they’re wanting to force us all to use their own client in order to push
the ads and content they choose..

Candie

Re: Why does my Apple Watch tell me the wrong date

2022-12-31 Thread 'Candie Bridges' via MacVisionaries
Hi all.

My partner and I are using the modular face.
We both have experienced this, before and after trading our series 6 for the
series 8. Restarting the watch fixes it, but it does seem to occur again.

Best wishes to everyone in the new year.
