Re: Help, Cannot Reliably Close Apps on Apple TV After Latest Update

2020-09-19 Thread Kliph Senior
Well, apple has assumed that everyone that uses VoiceOver uses direct touch. I
know I have never had an issue with it. Anyway, if you insist using follow
focus, the thing you will have to do when you want to swipe up, is put the
remote in navigation mode. To do this triple tap with 2 fingers on the track
pad area of the remote. Once you do this VoiceOver should say navigation mode.
Then turn it to direct touch, and swipe up, repeat the steps to turn it off.

Re: Vm fusion question?

2020-09-01 Thread Kliph Senior
Authorizations isn’t the issue. This is a clean install of windows 10pro, and
it won’t even let me type in the box to install jaws or even turn on narrator,
let alone anything else. Have tried multiple times, even with sited help.
Guess I will wipe everything clean, and try again.

Ok, since most work from home jobs these days want you to have a PC, I had to

 Hi,

I’m enrolled in beta testing on my mac. I’ve just been trying to install
first beta of Big Sur but I get a message that 27 GB additional space on
my hard drive is required. I’m installing it on 120 GB macbook air and I
have not got significant stuff on it either. When I look at the info of
my macintosh HD, it says 37 GB available 10 GB purgeable (don’t know what
it means). I can’t find any folder that would take up so much room on my
hard drive as I mostly use icloud services. The largest folder in my home
folder is 4 GB, the rest is less than 1 GB. Any ideas?

 Hi,

I purchased an Arctic 5 gaming headset. This headset has a USB interface
and has two sound cards built-in. So, there is a volume control on the
cable which allows you to control the volume of the two sound cards
separately. You can set up the sound sources on the Mac so that you have
VoiceOver on one sound card and Zoom on the other. This way, using the
single volume control, you can turn either sound source up or down as
needed. This is not panning as both sound from Zoom and Voice Over come
through both speakers but the ability to grab the volume control and turn
up or down either source instantaneously makes for a much more pleasant
 Zoom and VoiceOver experience.

I learned about this headset from a podcast that David Woodbridge did
 about it.

Re: beta testers?

2020-06-28 Thread Kliph Senior
Yes donna, this group has been active for the last 3 years. I only use beta’s
now because they are so stable. The group info is below. Also for anyone
running the dev beta and wants to chat about it just email me at
sturi...@icloud.com <mailto:sturi...@icloud.com> I will be hosting a zoom call
tomorrow
Are you testing an apple beta? want to discuss bugs with other testers? Then
come join a friendly, helpful, laid back community where we can squash these
bugs together, and report them to apple. Subscribe here
public-beta-users+subscr...@groups.io
Because of the non disclosure agreement, I have to say if your not a beta
tester, please don’t join the group.
