Re: Very Strange security problems appeared

2020-05-07 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Hi Ramy,

On both the Mac and iPhone, make sure that date and time is correct.

Now on iPhone navigate to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Select Gmail >
Select Account (at the top) > Advanced > Under "Incoming Settings" Turn
OFF "Use SSL" and then Turn it back ON.

Also, clear the browser history of your safari browser on Mac and log in to
Google Account and from Security turn On "less secured app access".

This will sort the issue that you're currently facing.

Hope this helps

The best one that I personally prefer is Google Calendar.
With this there'll be no loss of events.

In App Purchase means that some features of a particular application
requires one to purchase them.
Only limited features are accessible. It's like some advance features will
only work once you'll purchase them.
Though you can use the application with limited functionality.

Re: the 3rd USB flash drive with the same issue

2020-03-26 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Hi,

Format your USB drive and don't use quite format for this. Also go to the
properties and adjust it for best performance, rather than quick removal.
And hopefully this will fix the problem.

Re: Screen Sharing with Zoom

2020-03-25 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Hi Ibraheem,

Due to increased security and permissions with Mac OS Catalina, you will be
prompted to authorize the Zoom Desktop Client to use the microphone,
camera, and screen recording. You will also be prompted to allow the Zoom
Desktop Client to allow others to remotely control your desktop. You can
click OK during the initial request and you will be able to use your
microphone and camera in Zoom.

Also scroll down the list where you see team viewer and also Unlock the
Security & Privacy window and then once you'll find Zoom select the check
box. If it requires any permission after that grant them.

Restart and it will work.

Re: Where is icloud in terminal

Hi Dan,

If you're using Mojave, Terminal is more secure in this so you need to go
to system preferences/security and privacy and the 'privacy' tab. in the
box to the left, roll down to "full disk access" and check the box next to
"terminal" otherwise it won't let you access the directory.

Hope this helps

Re: Getting photos described

2020-02-20 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Hi Paul,

You can use Seeing AI to identify a person also. You'll have to initially
identify the person before the Seeing AI app will recognize the person
independently. To add a person, select the Menu button in the top left
corner then select Face Recognition. This screen will display the people
that you have already identified. To identify a new person, select the Add
button. Initially the reverse camera will turn on and the app will ask you
to take three pictures of the person you would like to identify. Either
have the person hold the iPhone (as the reverse camera is activated) or use
the Switch to Back Camera button to take a picture of a person in front of
you.

After doing the above when you'll use the Person feature, the app will
announce the name of the person along with the gender, age, hair color or
characteristic of the person and emotion of the person. Also while taking a
picture, the app provides directional guidance you so that you can center
the people in the picture.

Hope this helps

uninstall the Adblock Plus for this.
Simply open the AdBlock Plus icon and scroll down to listen to all the

Re: Sending email to 100s of emails at once, can we?

2020-02-06 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Hi

If you don't want others to see the email that you are an email to the
other people as well then enter the email addresses in the BCC Field (Blind
Carbon Copy). There are 2 ways to add the contacts in the email field,
one by adding contacts email one by one or if you have created a group of
contacts just add the group name. Also remember to add the contacts email
or the group in BCC.
Now you also need to make sure that you're not sending email to more than
100 contacts or else it will be marked as spam.

Hope this helps

Re: How do I disconnect a Facetime call on my iPad?

It's called Magic Tap because this is the only gesture that can be
programmed to perform a different action within a specific app.

Re: 360 Mac Care?

2020-01-06 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Flash Player has become obsolete these days & you don't need it anymore as
Videos play automatically. All the Browsers are completely capable of
handling Flash files on their own. In case you are receiving any such pop
ups just cancel / ignore them.

This book changed my life

2019-02-20 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Hello friends,

I am Pramit. I am visually impaired (cannot read at all).

A while back I finished reading this great book by Erik Weihenmayer, a
blind mountaineer. Erik’s attitude towards life is so powerful and
motivating that it really shook me up that I could focus on bigger things
in life than getting trapped in the day to day nonsense.

The book’s title is “Touch the Top of the World: A Blind Man's Journey to
Climb Farther than the Eye Can See”, and its available on Audible.

Hence this led to a resolution that I will single mindedly go after my
passion to build better tech solution which will work for me and in the
process, hopefully, will work for broader visually impaired community.

Divine forces have enabled me to put together a tech startup with an
equally motivated partner.

My interest in technology is due to it playing a pivotal role in keeping me
working independently even as my vision kept dropping since 1999.

Amongst other things, I am a voracious reader (hearer of audiobooks), I
love meditating and I am also an experimental cook. I was lucky enough to
reverse my diabetes through significant lifestyle changes about 10 years
back. Sharing my learning and motivating others online is another interest
area. I do this strictly on a non-commercial basis. Link:

Thanks
