Hello,

I am going to try and set up some training sessions so that blind folks can
understand the language that powers the web and how it can effect accessibility.

This will be a fairly basic class at least at the beginning.

• What is an element

• What is the most basic web page

• What are attributes, classes and text nodes

• Why do I see so many div’s and span’s when I view source

• What about CSS

This could be either a separate mailing or we might meet on zoom over the
weekend.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Best wishes,

Hi,

If this is on iPhone or iPad, then navigate to the Message you wish to delete.
When you land on the message you want to delete, swipe up or down until you
hear VO announce, “More”, then double-tap. Now, move your finger to the bottom
of the screen, and you’ll find a “Delete” button in the Toolbar. Double-tap it
and that message will be deleted.

If you mean to delete an entire conversation, or message thread, then swipe up
or down on that conversation until you hear VO announce “Delete”. Double-tap
and confirm and the entire message thread will be deleted.

HTH.

Hello,

I often called Apple. The problem is that as I don't use wifi, in order to
share the screen, they send me an invitation. Lately, the invitation doesn't
work because the computer says this invitation has not window.

What can I do? Is this an Apple problem, or is there anything I can do?

You have to navigate to the left to the sidebar and interact there. The phone
should show up under the devices section.

1. Backing-up and/or restoring an iPhone or iPad using Finder only works when
using macOS Catalina or Big Sur. If using an earlier version of macOS,
backup/restore is done using iTunes.

2. Connect your device to your Mac using the charging cable.

3. Open Finder to any window, such as your Home folder using CMD + Shift + H.

4. Select your device from the Sidebar. You will find the device listed in
the Locations section. If your Sidebar is not visible, you can use CMD + OPT +
S, to show/hide the Sidebar.

5. You may be prompted to allow your device to communicate with the Mac, and
you may need to enter your passcode on your device to authorize the connection
with the Mac.

6. Navigate to the folder view area of the window, where you will find a
layout similar to the General view you may be familiar with, if you have
previously use iTunes to manage your devices.

7. Navigate to and select the General tab. Then navigate to the scroll area,
and interact with it.

8. You should hear VoiceOver speak information about the version of iOS on
your device. You should also find a Check for Update button. If an update is
available, follow the prompts to install the update.

9. When finished, navigate back to the Sidebar, and select the Eject button to
disconnect your device from the Mac.

Ok, you’re getting some incomplete advice here so let me help you out I think
at least I think I know the confusion.

Go to system preferences and then select printers, select your printer in the
list and then look for the open printer queue button. Under there you’ll see
the print jobs and as George said, select each one and delete it. There may
also be a resume button there which if you press your printer should resume
printing if it’s functioning properly.

I hope this clears up the confusion or at least I haven’t made things worse.:)

Good luck

Did your printer print out these jobs or did you stop it from printing?

How to delete Print jobs?

2020-12-01 Thread Rena
Hello,

I connected an HP laser printer to my Mac.

I need to delete all printer jobs, but I don't know what to do. Would anyone
please explain?

It seems that I can't print again until I delete these unfinished jobs.

Thank you,

Hi,

It seems that I need some more help. I don’t find the jump drive in the

1. The “Jump” or flash drive may appear as a volume on your Mac’s desktop. If
it does not, use the keyboard command CMD + Shift + C, to open a Finder window
that should contain all volumes and similar resources attached to your Mac.

2. Once located, use the command CMD + DownArrow (or CMD + Shift + O), to open
the volume, and access its contents.

3. Once you have located the PDF file on the jump drive, use the command CMD +
DownArrow (or CMD + Shift + O), to open the file in the default application for
accessing PDF files, which should be Preview.

HTH.

RE: Where can I find instructions about using the contacts app?

2020-07-21 Thread Rena
Jonathan,

I’m learning how to use my Mac. I found articles about different topics, but so
far nothing about how to use the contacts app. My contacts are already synced
between the Mac and my iPhone, but I find difficult to add new contacts.

Wow, there is so much to do with contacts, I can certainly answer specific
questions. What will be your primary device for working with contacts, and do
you have other devices that you want to share contacts with?

I just started helping a friend with using their Macintosh and we only looked
at the Mail and Browser applications at any detail.

Hi Rina.

Dropbox should be in your applications folder, which you access with command
plus shift and A.

Just highlight it and press command backspace.

If your using VoiceOver it should say something like move to trash.

But it might come up with an administrator message, I'm not sure on that though.

Why do you need to remove it anyway?

I want to remove it because DB can be used in only 3 computers, and I already
have 3 computers where DB is activated. In addition, every time I turn on my
Mac, DB shows up, asking for some email address, which is not the one I used in
drop box. I will try what you suggest.
