Hi. Selling a mint 16gb Apple iPad mini. Includes lightning cable,
charging cube, and includes a smart cover, lifeproof waterproof case,
and a generic case which is like the Griffin Survivor but which
actually works much better!

Shoot me an e mail to make me an offer.

Thanks,

Cameron.

found a app yesterday call quick word but some reason it will not let me edit

My question is there any appp for word on the mack that I can edit and make

editing in quick word

I just purchase quick word for my mack but some reason I can not do any editing

write documents. So my question is how do you edit in quick word or can't you
? If you can not what would work instead?

Hi Mike and Helena,
I just tried Logos 5 on my iPad and it's slightly more accessible than the
iPhone app. Both let you read the text of each book. It's just a little
tricky bringing up the resource area. Once you are on it though, you can do
a two finger swipe down and VO will read each page and scroll to the next
page.
The difference with the iPad app is that the screen layout is more
accessible. VO speaks more items and doesn't loose focus as much as the
iPhone app does.
As for the Mac app, so far it's not as accessible. You can bring up a book
and have the program read back to you, however, VO cannot access the text.
I also have it running on Windows 7 with a little more success.
Right now your best bet is either the website biblia.com or running the iOS
apps. You can access all your books and read them either with speech or a
braille display. You can even do searches and bring up bible passages. I am
working with the developers at Logos to make all their apps accessible. The
iOS apps were made accessible recently and I have been talking to the
Windows programmer to make it more accessible as well. The last area we need
to push them on is the Mac. I did send them Apple's guidelines and gave them
feedback as to what needed to be fixed.
It might be helpful if we continue to email them about getting the Mac
version accessible. Currently the main issue is just like Accordance: most
things work accept reading the actual text.
Feel free to write me off list for some work arounds and the contacts at
Logos.
Vinny
PS If you need access to bibles and resources, contact Optasia Ministry
http://www.optasiaministry.org They provide simple text files that can be
viewed on both Mac and Windows as well as all the braille notetakers.

It's a Safari extension. It fills in CAPTCHAs automatically for you. There's
a trial version and then I think it's something ridiculously cheap like 99
cents for 99 solutions. I've never had to top up since installing it so now

And, how are they acting with the new upgrade. It sounded like it wasn't a
good idea to upgrade the iPhone 4 and that also seemed to be the suggestion
for iPads too. So, I am wondering if they are working alright on your
devices? I have a couple of iPads that need upgrading and an iPhone 4 also,
but I was afraid that I had better leave them alone for now.

HI Brian,

Yes, iBooks is mainly for reading books, though it's also a nice way to read
any unprotected PDF files. It's generally a really good PDF and eBook
reader, and it makes available a lot of books that aren't available
elsewhere in audiobook format or from other libraries that cater to the
blind. Currently, the best way to read DRM protected eBooks on the Mac is
with Adobe Digital Editions, but this is not the easiest to navigate. So
iBooks on the Mac will hopefully offer a whole new range of content which
can be accessibly read on the Mac. Podcasts and RSS readers are great, but
they don't have the same content as can be found on the various eBook
stores. Same goes for the other libraries available to the blind which
generally have relatively limited content.

So, sounds like you're not missing out on anything if you're not a big
reader. :)

I'm really looking forward to Amazon making the Kindle app accessible on the
Mac. Having both Kindle and iBooks on OS X and iOS would be brilliant.

Make sure the app is set on device. Then it's the standard iOS deletion
method like in mail and messages. Swipe down when on an item and it should
say delete. Double tap and the item should be gone. If 1 finger swipe down
doesn't say delete use the roter until it is on actions and then swiping
down should say delete.

Hope this helps.
