If you don't mind fiddling around in the terminal, the Sox package will 
do it. Once installed you would just type


sox something.ogg something.mp3

hi i tried the quick time solution. i selected 480 p as the format from the 
drop down menu. the resulting file was only 1/3 the size and allowed me to 
upload it to a website that was refusing it because it was too large. the 
difference was that the end file is now 640 by 360 much smaller than 1080p but 
its all about people seeing your work. also this screen dimension is probably 
better since so many people are accessing the web on their phones and tablets.

The best solution would be to either use VLC to play them or to use a Quicktime 
component called Ogg Drop that will allow you to play them using QT and allso 
iTunes if I’m not mistaken.
Conversion between lossy formats doesn’t usually work very well.
