Hi Anne,

That makes sense. I only installed the French language option along with all
the system necessary files from a fresh installation of Snow Leopard.

Take care

Re: Query about 10.6.1 update

2009-09-13 Thread Anne Robertson

Hello Jean-Christophe,

Whatever anyone may claim, I looked at the version of flash installed
on my MacBook and it wasn't the latest version. It is now, however,
because I updated it manually.

I've also discovered what changes the size of the update, it all
depends on what you installed with Snow Leopard. I did a
straightforward install, whereas my husband installed all possible
printer drivers. My update was 9.8 MB and his was 75 MB. He also has
all the developer tools, etc.

Cheers,

Anne

Anne,

According to:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3810
and
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

The Flash plugin that comes with 10.6.1 is the latest version
available on Mac.

That's one thing it says it does:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3810

"Includes an update to Adobe Flash Player plug-in version 10.0.32.18"

Hello James,

My 10.6.1 update was 9.8 MB. I imagine the larger update would be for
developers, or maybe it includes other updates.

Cheers,

Anne

I did not notice that on SU. But what matters is that your About This
Mac window shows "10.6.1" after install.

It seems that it was released yesterday. As per usual, there is no mention
