Re: mobile me question

2011-01-01 Thread Neil Barnfather - TalkNav
it is important to note two things, firstly on any device you use Mobile Me on
you must configure the sync settings the same on both devices. secondly, Mobile
Me is not as instant as you may think, sometimes I have setup a new Mac or
iPhone with my account, had some settings move over, yet had to wait up to a
few hours for others to move.

you can in Mobile Me on any Mac force the sync process, but not on an iPhone or
other iOS device.

one thing to note when using iOS devices is to make sure that push settings
are enabled in settings under Mail, Contacts and Calendars. be sure that you
either have push or a setting in the pull or fetch option. you can later change
this, but initially the data will not be pushed or pulled if this is not set
correctly.

Hi all
I set up an account in mobile me. I followed the instructions stated to ensure
that all my bookmarks, contacts, emails etc are all sinked between my mac and
ipad. However, I haven't noticed any change in my I Pad. I added new book marks
in to my mac, but i could not find them in my I pad. the only thing that I
managed to do it succcessfuly is using I disk which allows me to share my
documents and pictures. other than that, i can't see any difference. am i doing
any thing wrong?

I got mine from apple for $69 because I purchased it with my iMac. I think

Re: A mobile Me question

2010-04-21 Thread Brett Campbell
Yes, it is a service. When you purchase from the Apple site, or Amazon, you
are sent a code in the mail. When you receive the code, you enter it on your
mobile me account. I don't know why it's less expensive on amazon, but I have
purchased it myself with success. You can also get the $69 price with select
purchases through Apple. The price provides Mobile Me service for a year.
