Re: ABBYY fine reader express looking good
I wish Abbyy would make a Mac version like the Windows one, but I also wish that my BookEdge scanner had a Mac driver. Phil, I think you're lucky to have found a scanner that works without the need for 2 apps. My husband has a Cannon and another one that I can't remember, some kind of all in one. And when he tried Abbyy, he got nowhere with it. He's sighted. Mary Mary Otten motte...@gmail.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. Re: ABBYY fine reader express looking good
when I bought the scanner it came bundled with ABbY Fine reader Sprint for PC. So odds were good it would work on the Mac side to Sent from my IPhone On Aug 20, 2013, at 11:34 AM, Mary Otten motte...@gmail.com wrote: I wish Abbyy would make a Mac version like the Windows one, but I also wish that my BookEdge scanner had a Mac driver. ABBYY fine reader express looking good
Just purchased fine reader express tonight for $49.99 (deal good until August 25). It works really well with my Epson Perfection V33/330 flatbed scanner. It recognizes the scanner and I can scan documents from within the app, and don't have to use ImageCapture or another app to create scans. Strange though, the preferences are grayed out in the menu. I guess because its the express version, there aren't any preferences to set? I haven't tried it yet, but I think it might be possible to scan multiple pages from within the app. When I scanned a test page, I was given the option to continue scanning, and I assume that meant scan more pages - I'll try it tomorrow. ' Just wanted to give the app a thumbs up and let you all know the app is on sale for half off, ($49.99), and I think its worth the money. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. Re: ABBYY fine reader express looking good
hey, i have been using this app and yes the prefs are grayed out. you can't do batch conversion of PDFs with the express version witch makes me very mad. i wish they would make a pro version for mac like the one on windows witch is fantastic.
