AirDrop in iOS 7?

2013-09-22 Thread Mark BurningHawk Baxter
Hi folks.

Just like it says, I'm wondering how to use airdrop in iOS 7? I do not have

Re: AirDrop in iOS 7?

2013-09-22 Thread Edward Green
Hi Mark,

Airdrop lets you transfer things between Apple devices. The version for iOS
will only let you transfer between other Airdrop-enabled iOS devices.

If you have enabled Airdrop, you can transfer data from some of the apps that
have sharing ability such as Contacts and Safari.

Cheers,

Ed

Hi!
Airdrop appears when you want to share something like picture or a document.
You just select the person who you want to send the file from a list and tab on
it, then the file you are sharing goes to that person. It is really cool.

 Hi folks.

Just like it says, I'm wondering how to use airdrop in iOS 7? I do not
have dropbox, but I assume this is a different app? This is filesharing
between contacts, I assume, but I see no way to place files in an
airdrop queue similar to drop box.

Thanks for all the information. I like iOS 7 in general, especially since
I have Siri, and the keyboard itself is very much speeded up.

 Be well.

Re: AirDrop in iOS 7?

2013-09-22 Thread Christine Grassman
I am sitting in the same room as my husband. We have a Wi-Fi connection. I
selected a photo, chose him as the contact. Both of us have air drop set.
Nothing is happening.

We both have iPhone five. Sent from my iPhone

 Hi,

it can be found in the control center, and in the share button of whatever
app you happen to be using that supports the feature.

Yes, thanks. This is about what I figured.

But, if my girlfriend has an iPhone 4, which in fact she does, and if she
is enabled in my contacts, I should be able to send files from my phone to
hers, is that not correct? Can this be used to send Bard files?

 Thanks again.

 Hi Mark,

Airdrop lets you transfer things between Apple devices. The version for
iOS will only let you transfer between other Airdrop-enabled iOS devices.

If you have enabled Airdrop, you can transfer data from some of the apps
that have sharing ability such as Contacts and Safari.

 Cheers,

 Ed
