I find myself using Brave more and more often. Very fast. Download it from
www.brave.com and look for an appropriate platform.
You can install Brave on all your devices and have them synced.

Re: Alternativ web browser

2022-02-26 Thread Terje Strømberg
Firefox focus is a new Firefox browser that is a version of Firefox private
mode. Firefox Focus is even more private with almost no added features. It
has update websites and delete websites. Also settings where you can choose
to open the website in Firefox Chrome or standard browser. Firefox Focus
app in app store. For the moment i am using iPad. It may work well with
voiceover on mac too.

Take care

Re: Alternativ web browser

2022-02-25 Thread Jonathan Cohn
No, Chrome and Edge use the same basic engine, but might use slightly different
ways to communicate with VoiceOver.
Firefox uses a third web rendering tool.
I am truly amazed at this complaint, I have 7 year old Macintosh running the
latest MacOS, and find Safari and VoiceOver are generally working better
together than when I first got the computer.
That being said, websites that are using a lot of JavaScript to move items
around visually or constantly update a panel with new items are often
problematic with VoiceOver. Also, some sites will provide more information
about a point on the screen when the mouse is moved over that point. If Mouse
follows VoiceOver cursor is on for these sites, then there might be a delay as
the additional information is populated from the DOM to the AOM to VoiceOver.
You can create a Macintosh activity to temporarily change Mouse follows
behavior, for these sites.
Jonathan

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

Hi!
I use firefox sometimes and it works quite well I think.
The issue with that browser is that VoiceOver announces that Firefox has new
window every now and then.

Alternativ web browser

2022-02-24 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hi,

several times people wrote of the annoiing busy-message of Safari. It my
opinion it’s getting even worse.

So has anyone experiences in using different browsers and whether this solves
the issue? Or do all web browsers use the same engine and produce the same
delay?

Thanks and all the best
Jürgen
