Perhaps it’s one of those introductory dialogues describing new features of the 
app that you need to acknowledge before continuing.

I’ve done both, and that’s gotten me next to nowhere.  Interacting with the 
first section starts displaying something about “stay up to date with 
notifications, get notified about billing and product updates, etc.
  Then there’s one before that with an unlabeled image, and nothing more that I 
can scroll passed.
  Therefore, I’m unable to locate the search box, and the usual fields I used 
to be able to find that showed me what needed updating and the like aren’t 
showing up anymore.

seems to read nothing in regard to the App Store anymore?  Also, no amount of
