Yes there are scripts for the  voiceover. 
 I have been researching for  third party voiceover scripts but getting no 
wheir. I will say that Alex hall has made some scripts that customizes 
voiceover. Some of the scripts tells you how much battery you have left and how 
much  time is  remaining on the battery. 
What kind of scripts are you looking for? allowisaac

VoiceOver is part of the operating system. Therefore, Apple Scripts can 
customise VoiceOver as long as a certain box in the VoiceOver utilities is 
checked. Get to the VO utilities with VO f8 whilst VoiceOver is running.
