Turns out, Messages has been revised a little. ... OK, a lot. To wit:

1. Conversations are now in a collection, not a table. This changes the way one navigates and will require some muscle memory reprogramming.

2. ConversationsĀ  with more than three participants always speak all participants' names or phone numbers, instead of the previous behavior where only the first three names or phone numbers were spoken, followed by "and x others," where x was the remaining number of participants. Additional to this oddment is the fact that in order to get to the messages collection from a selected conversation requires one VO-Right past each name in the conversation, and the first one is spoken twice.

3. If you want to copy the text from a message, it used to be easy. All you had to do was go into the message area, interact with it, scroll down to find the message you want to copy, and press VO-C. Now, you have to not only find the message, but then double-click it with VO-SPACE. Then and only then can you select and copy it.

4. Selecting a conversation is vastly different. It's now a collection. When you open the collection, there may (or may not) be a conversation selected. But even more important is the fact that, to move through the collection, you now use VO-Right/Left, not Up/Down. To select a conversation, press VO-SPACE. You immediately get dropped into the text edit field to send a message. This change is most irritating because it breaks all logical workflows. To read messages in the selected conversation now requires two extra key-presses--VO-Left twice to skip over the Apps button to get to the messages collection.

5. The BACKSPACE key no longer deletes the currently selected conversation. You must now go into the File menu and select Delete Conversation.

If anyone has found ways around these annoyances and oddities, please sing out.
