Re: Bluetooth braille using Catalina the 10 point.15.3. Please read below?
I have now paired my Braille note touch plus running all current firmware with my Catai=lina and with my Mohabi systems. As I said when I did my original tests, there is absolutely no need to enter a pairing code, just to confirm it. If you want to FaceTime with me I can walk you through the process. An update on the situation. I spent about an hour on the phone with tech support for human wear. And unfortunately the same problem existed even with the support professional. This issue has been thoroughly documented. I’ll probably write you all an update when I find out what is being done to fix this problem. Just me normal consumer think the problem is largely breast in Cupertino. This use of a security code generated by my Mac for an adaptive technology device is ready to kill us! If you can exempt speakers and things that people want for purely entertainment purposes why is it that the blind must put in codes and all sorts of specialty things in order to access our hardware and use non visual access techniques. And they wonder why we have a 70% unemployment rate. This is why people won’t hire Russ. Long story short the big boys and operating systems need to understand that if they are going to help people get employed they need to reduce the barriers to employment. That’s not just on the state agencies. OK, I’ll try tonight with my Catalina machine, but I expect to have no problems. Once you click pair in the VoiceOver dialog did you get a chime on your BrailleNoteTouchPlus? If so at this point hit any braille routing key on the braille display. Then answer the next two question in the affirmative and you should be paired. I answered this on the Braille Users list. The important thing here is understanding what to do when the notification pops up on the Braille Note. One has to click a routing key and then click yes and finally accept in order to tell the BrailleNote Touch it is OK to connect to the Mac. Re: Bluetooth braille using Catalina the 10 point.15.3. Please read below?
Good afternoon, unfortunately this doesn’t work. Because I go through these steps. One go to the VoiceOver preferences to go into braille displays under braille. Three go to add new display. War interact with the list pick railing BIA 32 311. Five click on it A message appears that state waiting for the braille no touch plus or brilliant PI 3211 to accept the connection please make sure that the code on the display matches the code on the computer screen. There is no way that one can find that code in time to accept it. Because by the time I find the code many by the time the braille note touch plus gets the code the pairing window has already closed. I get the message that parenting was “unsuccessful” cannot pay her with the brilliant BIA 3211. This is the Braille Display embedded in the braille note touch plus. I hope this helps? Hi! Still you should not pair the display from the bluetooth preferences. Go into Vo utility and select the Braille category. Here you have 3 tabs. Select the braille display tab and then I think you can add a visible bluetooth display from here. That’s actually what i did when pairing my Handytech or Helptech Basic Braille 40. Good luck. /A > 25 feb. 2020 kl. 21:43 skrev maurice mines : > > What I’m saying here, is you must enter in that six digit code exactly as it > appears on the screen on the device within 10 to 15 seconds any longer and it > corrupts it. Re: Bluetooth braille using Catalina the 10 point.15.3. Please read below?
What I’m saying here, is you must enter in that six digit code exactly as it appears on the screen on the device within 10 to 15 seconds any longer and it corrupts it. There is no facility on the touch to enter that long of a code. This device is set up for a four digit code Apple requires a six digit code because it views it as a foreign device. Security in all. Hi! It should be able to paired via bluetooth but i don’t understand the things you were saying about the code. Is the code a very long code that you can’t read because it disappears or what? Normally you will not get a code when pairing the display. Remember that the display is not paired via bluetooth settings. Its paired under VoiceOver utilities. Thanks. /A > 25 feb. 2020 kl. 21:17 skrev maurice mines : > > Hello, here’s the situation were variety of reasons I am down to using the > Braille Display that is embedded in a braille note touch plots. Bluetooth braille using Catalina the 10 point.15.3. Please read below?
Hello, here’s the situation were variety of reasons I am down to using the Braille Display that is embedded in a braille note touch plots. My Mac defines it as a brilliant 32 display. However, when attempting to pair this my Mac gives me a six digit code that must be typed into my braille note touch plus which the code appears very quickly. I think the real problem here is the fact that the code comes from the computer it is not the manufacturer four digit code. So does any attempt to use this will not work. Has anyone tried this with her Mac? The manufacturer human where indicates that in theory this should work. Apple says there’s nothing that can be done about the long code. Who’s right here? Or is this display just simply on usable under Bluetooth. For the record USB doesn’t work either because again it classifies it as a device needing to be charged if it seems that at all. Has anyone on this list experienced this? Also just for the sake of clarity, I posted the same message essentially to the Braille Display users list. Does anyone have any good suggestions. Or should I suddenly get into the market for a new large Braille Display and see what can be found in which agency should pay for the FedEx?
