Re: Clean install of Catalina with Boot Camp?

2019-10-14 Thread maurice.mines
Hi I have a related question if there anyway but anyone on this list
knows I’ve been a software that can back up the contents of my Boot
Camp partition because right now if anything happens I lose the contents
of this partition and I am having sound card issues and both OS X and
windows and I’m not quite sure what the fix is going to be? Any
thoughts?

Re: Clean install of Catalina with Boot Camp?

2019-10-14 Thread 'Robert Cole' via MacVisionaries
Hi Matthew,
Does Catalina recognize the boot camp partition since it wasn’t created with
Catalina?
I thought that erasing the Mac HD, would also erase the windows partition.

Hi,

I just did this on my iMac from, 2013 a few days ago and if you hav a bootable
usb installer you should be good to go. Just make sure that you select your
Mac OS partition and select erase from the toolbar and then do the install in
the usual way. HTH,
