Creating and Naming groups in Apple mail problem resolved
Hi Ray and John, Just a short note to thank you for coming up with the solution that has resolved the naming issue. Ray, turning vo off as you suggested then pressing return, typing the name and again pressing return worked flawlessly. I'm much in your debt. Re: Creating and Naming groups in Apple mail
You can copy contacts from the main contact list into any created group. The problem is, unless someone has found a work around, it is a bug in VoiceOver that one cannot rename the, "Untitled" group name to something else. I'd love to know how to do this if anyone has found a method. Re: Creating and Naming groups in Apple mail
Let me deal with your second point first. Once you get your group created, it's a snap to add members. Just like you said, you can paste from all contacts directly in to your new group. Now, let's discuss how to change the name of your group. 1. Focus on the new group the name of witch you wish to change. 2. Turn off Voice Over. Seems weird, but, that is what you do. 3. At this point, press the return key. 4. Now, just type in the new name for your group. 5. Press return again. 6. Activate Voice OVer. There you go. Sincerely, The Constantly Barefooted Ray!!! Creating and Naming groups in Apple mail
Hi, Today I created a new group in mail. Its called the default name of untitled. How can you rename this to something more meaningful? I tried the rename option under edit but this didn't appear to offer me any sort of edit field to make the change. On a slightly different but related topic, once I finally get this group named correctly, can I just copy and paste the contacts I want in to it from the main address book? Many thanks in advance for any help received. Kind regards Graham -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
