Eric,

Are you running Windows 7 in 32 or 64 bit mode?

Thanks,

I feel like my Windows 7 64 version with JAWS 12 is actually less snappy then

Thanks to Paul's excellent directions on using the key mapping in Vm Fusion I
have a much smoother running machine then before. I would recommend
following his suggestions about turning off most of the automatic key mapping
and such. His directions on creating the needed Insert key was also helpful.

I am so pleased that I can enjoy my Mac but when convenient do the few

I had just purchased VM fusion less then 2 weeks ago. There is no refund so
buying it now is a much better deal. The free upgrade for me came by getting
a new license through a request to support. I then downloaded the program
and followed the directions in the update application that came in the DMG.
I read that people that are eligible for the free upgrade will get a email
with the new license key but it may take up to 30 days.

Good luck to everyone updating or starting new. It is very doable but
without the help of people on this list I really would not have been
 successful on my own.

Mike's podcast on Blindcooltech.com is very helpful. it would be great for
new folks if someone did a updated cons ice walkthrough, especially as there
is a new version. Even though it seems simple to most people a step by step
walk through would save many people a lot of time and frustration.

Re: Fusion 4, Jaws Video Intercept

Hi all!

I had this authorization story some time ago on a Linux box with VirtualBox and
VMWare Player (both Windows XP). Every time I (or my admins) had updated the
virtualisation software or changed the virtual hardware settings I lost a
authorization key of JAWS. Now I'm using a dongle and the problems are gone...

If the solution is Windows I want back my problem :-)

Greetings,
Pierre

I'm experimenting with giving the VM 1 GB of Ram instead of 2. I want to see
if I can improve performance of Mac applications without causing the windows
performance to degrade. I'm waiting to settle on a hardware configuration
 before reactivating jaws.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

 Hi all,

Has anyone successfully upgraded to Fusion 4, installed the new Vmware tools
and updated their video intercept? My VM will not start after going through
these hoops. Good thing I have a backup of the VM so that I can at least
attempt to try again on the morrow.

 Just curious.

That will probably take another authorization, this is one reason among

 Hi Keith,

I went through the upgrade process just fine. I didn't have to do anything
with the jaws video intercept. I wish I knew what is going wrong for you
there, but the problem isn't something I've heard of.

The only thing is that for some reason Jaws wants me to reactivate my
license. I guess VMWare changed the virtual hardware that they emulate
enough that it looks like a different machine to Jaws. I haven't completed
this yet, but I'll post if anything goes wrong with the Activation process
when I get around to it.
