Help With a Website?

2022-01-27 Thread Fazil M.
Hi, Group.

I am trying to book a hotel at:

Booking.com.

I am able to enter the name of the city, check-in-&-check-out dates, number
of guests etc, but I am unable to read the room-rent of a chosen hotel.

Thanks!

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm having no problems thus far. There is a long jpeg labeled button you need
to hit after you hit the zipcode or address. That's as far as I got but
hopefully that sort of helps.

Hello Carolyn,

This website looks pretty straightforward to me. I use Groups mode and make
extensive use of the Web Rotor and the Item Chooser.

Cheers,

Re: help with a website please

2010-10-04 Thread Colin M
Hi Carolyn!
I'm unfortunately in the Uk!
I'm using dom mode and can navigate that site ok!
But as you can imagine my local store might be a little further than 50 miles :]
I can get to the account set up page, and when I clicked on weekly ads that's
when I got asked for my address to find my local store!
Oh well I'll have to move to the USA Hahahahaha
But the main thing is I could navigate ok with a keyboard.
I don't know if this has been any help!

Hi Colin: and Anne
Well, thank you for trying anyhow.
I'll experiment more with this today after a little more coffee:)

Can;t get to my Apple training today due to an ear infection. So, perhaps
I'm whimping out early here:)

Re: help with a website please

2010-10-04 Thread Colin M
Hi Carolyn!
I see from your last message you are having lessons!
So just in case you do not know about the web rotor, you access it with the
command vo+u
If you already know about it!
You can ignore this next bit!
When the rotor is open it might be on links, if it is you can left arrow to the
headings table, if the weekly ads have a heading you can either down arrow to
it or type w or more of the word weekly and that should take you to that
heading!
When you are on the heading in the rotor vo+space bar, that will take you to
the heading itself!
And you should be able to navigate from there!
alternatively if you know the product you want, on the rotor in the links table
[ say it's beef ] it might have it's own link so type beef and that will
narrow down the links to those with something to do with beef!
Or what you are searching for!
Then like before just vo+space bar, you'll be on that items link then and if
you want it vo+space bar again!
hth Colin
Sorry if you knew this already! :]

Re: help with a website please

2010-10-04 Thread Carolyn
Hi Colin:
Well, thanks. I knew some of it, but I've just spent the whole morning with
this site, and the only way to find the ads is with the roter, but then the
items aren't showing. Even when I set it to category, I'm getting absolutely
nowhere. I've finally gone back to my poor old faithful Dell:) and already
accomplished signing in and finding my list. Chalk one botched up for Apple:)
Anyhow, thank you for following up.
Take care

command vo+u
If you already know about it!
You can ignore this next bit!
When the rotor is open it might be on links, if it is you can left arrow to
the headings table, if the weekly ads have a heading you can either down arrow
to it or type w or more of the word weekly and that should take you to that
heading!
When you are on the heading in the rotor vo+space bar, that will take you to
the heading itself!
And you should be able to navigate from there!
alternatively if you know the product you want, on the rotor in the links
table [ say it's beef ] it might have it's own link so type beef and that will
narrow down the links to those with something to do with beef!
Or what you are searching for!
Then like before just vo+space bar, you'll be on that items link then and if
you want it vo+space bar again!

  Hi guys:
I've been trying to work with a website, to sign in, view weekly
ads, etc. I am getting all of nowhere, and it's a site I normally peruse with
JFW and my old kDell. I want to use the mac, but can't get anything to behave
properly. If anyone likes a challenge, could you please check out
kingsoopers.com? See if you can view weekly ads, create account, or sign in.
I've tried using group mode, and then Dom mode, tried working from trackpad or
from keyboard. I'm pretty much clueless why this site is so confounded or how
to best work with it.
Any help would be much appreciated. I can be reached at

Thanks for reading. And to anyone who can be of help you'll be my
BFF, (stolen from my daughter:)

  Thanks

Need help with a website. This is utterly ridiculous!

2016-10-02 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
OK, the site is:

http://community.sony.com

I got my account registered, although I'm not sure how necessary that'll be for
you all to see my problem.

BTW, I'm doing this with El Capitan 10.11.6. I tried on my macbook running
Sierra, however, and the results were no better.

Once on this page, there is a search or ask the community text box.

In this field, I typed without the quotes, "Blind individual needs help with
minidisk MZ-N505 recorder."

I then hit VO+Right arrow and got over to the ask now button, and hit VO+Space,
as you'd suspect.

About two times out of at least 6 or 7, the page took a monumental dump on me,
and totally crashed Safari. One of the two times, it even totally crashed
Voiceover to the point I couldn't even turn it back on. I literally had to
restart the mac to regain both speech and braille output.

The few times that I did manage to get it not to crash, it looks like the
Voiceover focus is jumping haywire all over the blasted page, and won't stay
still. Even turning off cursor tracking with VO+Shift+F3 doesn't help. It
still jumps all over the place.

The one time I lucked out and it didn't jump, I saw search results, but they
were completely irrelavent. I thought perhaps I could just keep vo+right
arrowing, and eventually I'd get to an option like with most forums, where it
would say something to the effect of, don't see a rellavent result? Click here
to start a new topic.

Even when logged in, I click on new conversation, but then I get that stupid
search page again! No matter what the heck I do, I can't get past that step.

I called Sony, and they are completely! unhelpful, what else is new. - Doesn't
surprise me in the least. Mister Habib barely spoke english. I'll leave my
comments to myself on that note, but, yeah...

I have a big recording project coming up, and was donated this unit. It's not
required, although it would be very very helpful if I could use it. All I'm
trying to do is figure out if someone in the forums could tell me how many
button presses in the menu I need to do to delete an individual track, as well
as what to do to delete an entire disk in one shebang. Provided someone could
tell me that, I'd be in good shape. I downloaded the pdf manual, but it's not
helping. It gives the steps, but as always, no menu matrix.

So, if someone could help me get this question posted to the forums, I'd
really! appreciate it!

Chris.

Hello Chris,

I could not reproduce your bug.

This is to say, I went to the website, using Sierra, however, and located the
"Ask the community" edit field.

I typed in several questions, including the string that you provided, and a
results list was displayed.

I will tell you that in order to see the results list, I used the Headings item
in the VoiceOver Rotor. I selected the first answer in the table. After that,
I simply used VO+Right Arrow to scroll through the list of replies to various
questions. I found the site relatively straight-forward.

I performed the various searches using a MacBook Pro, mid-2014 with Sierra.

As I have a terrible head cold, I'm signing off for tonight. Please forgive
any typos in this post.

Good luck on your serch.

Mark
