Hi, Paul.
If you aren't using the Mac version of pocket money, how are you backing up the
data? I hear the Mac version isn't very good.

It's a shame we can't have a version of money talks for the mac and one

Hello Paul. I backup and restore my data with a wifi transfer. When I run the
backup option the IPhone becomes a small server that lets me download my data
to my mac. The same applies for restores. You also have IVloud backups so you
have plenty of redundancy. You can use your mac for backups but don't need to
run Pocket Money on the mac.

Re: Looking for a good checking account program

2013-02-25 Thread Paul Henrichsen
Thanks, Sarah; but how does it sync with an iPhone application?
I don't see a checkbook pro app in the iPhone store.
One of the things I want to do is to be able to enter items into my checkbook
when I am out traveling.
I can do this with clear checkbook which is web based, and also with quicken.
However, I guess that quicken isn't accessible on the mac or on the pc.
I saw something in the description of checkbook pro mentioning syncing, but
they didn't explain what this meant.
They also didn't mention an Iphone app which would sync with their Mac app.
I could go back to recording my entries when I am out then adding them when at
home, but I really like the idea of syncing to my phone via the cloud.
Also, do you know if checkbook pro will import qfx files from quicken in case I
need to switch?
But the syncing with the phone is the big thing if I can get it.
Thanks.

Finally it has a nice budgeting feature. It does not support check printing
yet. If you have additional questions please let me know.

Hi. I have been looking for a good checking account program for the mac

Since then, I have been using clear Checkbook because I can enter

I really like the fact that accounts are synced to my phone; so I can
make entries when away from home and my computer.

I have been playing a bit with Quicken 13 over the weekend. What I have
found is that their iPhone app will let me enter items into the registries
and will give me an end of balance total so I know at all times even when
away from my computer how much is in my accounts.
With a little work, one can even examine registry entries; though I admit
that this could be better with a little more voiceover support.

what I would like is a program which is useable on my mac or pc and one
which will also sync data with my iPhone.
I want to be able to add entries as well as examine registry entries with
my phone.
What are people using out there?

It's a shame we can't have a version of money talks for the mac and one
for the iPhone where data would be synced between devices.
Is there another checking account program out there other than Clear
Checkbook which is accessible and syncs data with the iPhone?
Has anyone tried contacting Intuit to see if they would make their Mac
app more accessible?
I welcome any feedback and will be contacting Intuit myself about whether
they would be willing to make Quicken 13 more accessible than it's previous
versions.
 Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Looking for a good checking account program

They are making one of the iPhone.

I could go back to recording my entries when I am out then adding them when
at home, but I really like the idea of syncing to my phone via the cloud.
Also, do you know if checkbook pro will import qfx files from quicken in case
 I need to switch?
But the syncing with the phone is the big thing if I can get it.
 Thanks.
