Hi guys: Just an update on Mars edit. The developer wrote: I have filed one bug report with Apple and have gotten in touch with a couple friends at Apple who may have contacts in the Accessibility and Safari groups. Hopefully I will find a sympathetic ear who can work with us to iron out issues in a future update. I was able to create one very simple example that demonstrates the unpredictability or ineffectiveness of for example using VO-up-arrow or VO-down-arrow to navigate paragraphs. It seems like there are many problems but that this is one symptom of a widespread problem with the way VO handles the cursor in "web views." I am not sure whether it is aMars edit problem. Jonathan Mosen highlighted difficulties with RTF editing on OS as one of his reasons for leaving and the problems with Mars Edit in particular. The problem seems to have got even worse since I installed Sierra. Nowadays I just use TextEdit to finalise editing and paste into Marrs Edit and just publish from there really. Once it has detected your blog settings, it prompts you to enter username and password. After that, you’re ready. Mars Edit Got Me Blacklisted
Hey fellow Mars Edit Users, When I got a little free time a few hours ago I opened Mars Edit to make a change to one of my pages at malarsie.com. When I finished the changes I hit send and got an alert saying my password was wrong for some odd reason. I typed it in and hit send. It didn’t work. Twice. When I went to my site on the browser I got an alert saying that my IP address had been blacklisted and that I need to contact my service provider if I thought it was a mistake. After some googling I called my hosting provider and after a few questions and some digging they asked how I manage my site to which the answer is Mars Edit for the most part. Turns out that for some reason or another Mars Edit had made a series of calls to the server. Like hundreds in just a minute or two. My hosting provider took this as malicious action and blocked me. They fixed it without any problems but I wanted to find out if anyone else had experienced or heard of anything like this before. Hope you all have a good day! finding photos in mars edit?
HI list. wondering if anyone can help. I am trying to insert a photo i have on my mac in to a blog post. Here is the problem when I go in to media manager on mars edit, I only seem to see the iPhotos folders. here is what i do; i copy and paste photos into the photos folder in finder. Mars Edit: I see why you all love it
Hi all, I just won a copy of Mars Edit, and I see why you all recommend it for bloggers. I have two blogs and hope to start a third (business-related), and this application is going to make life so much easier! Basically, once you add your blog(s) to the app, you are given two tables. The first has local drafts, for storing unfinished work, then a row for each blog you have added. The next table displays all your entries for the selected blog, and you can view each right there, or edit. When editing, you can use rich text or html, and even edit categories, title, comment preferences, and so on. Everything seems to have a keyboard shortcut, and I have so far run into no accessibility problems. So yeah, I get why this list loves Mars Edit. Now, if I could just work out how to use markdown... Editing text problems in Mars Edit
All, Before upgrading to ML I could scroll through a post I was working on in Mars edit and hold shift at whatever point I wanted to select portions of text. Now when I try this holding shift and pressing the arrows does nothing and VO will get stuck on a random work and just keep selecting it regardless of where the voice over cursor is. Organizing Pages in Mars Edit
Hi Listers, I have been working with WordPress installations lately so I downloaded and installed Mars Edit on the weekend. so far so good. I am wondering about a couple of things: 1. Can I organize the list of pages in the table to resemble the organization on the website? I.E. I'd like to have the order I have selected be the order the pages show up in Mars Edit. Currently it seems like they may be showing up based on a date or some other criteria. 2. Has anybody worked with Custom Fields. I have a couple of pages with custom fields but, they do not show up in Mars Edit…At least I can't find them. wordpress 3.2 and mars edit
Hello group; I've been using mars edit with wordpress and blogger for a while now. for some reason i have recently found out that my photos aren't being uploaded correctly. they don't show up properly on my blog. Mars Edit 3
Hello all, I just installed a demo of Mars Edit 3, and I'm having some real trouble with it. I know that Mars Edit 2 was fairly accessible, or so I was told by a few other blind Mac users. Is anyone else using the most current version? Could you give me some pointers? I was able to set up Mars Edit to work with my self hosted Word Press blog. I can't edit any previous posts or pages, and I cannot edit any local drafts that I started writing with Mars Edit. If for some reason Mars Edit 3 is not accessible, I would appreciate knowing what other folks are using for blogging clients these days. Hi Joshia, I've recently had a free upgrade to marsedit 3 and i've got no issues to report. It is actually more accessible than ver 2 and has quite some more features. If you are trying to retrive your old posts and edit them, try entering the retunr key on the list of posts or pages then vo right to edit all its contents. I've had marsedit 3 for a few weeks now and have been blogging easily over my self hosted wordpress 3.0 so i don't know where the issues lie exactly in your case. Hello; go to the weblog menu and choose settings. In there make sure the number of posts is set high enough. It will only download and give you access to editing the last however many you allow it to. I think the default was ten, but I've been using it so long I don't remember. I love it. I wouldn't think twice about blogging without it.
