I think Wahoo Fitness is the one I will focus on and contact its developers
and make some noise. I tried doing that with Polar Beat some time back and see
its pointless.

Its been a while since I checked into this and since related apps have been
updated, I want to ask about it. Is it possible to get this data in real time
while working out? I have the Polar H7 HRM.

I tried testing with the Polar Beat, Wahoo Fitness and Apple's Health apps.
The first two I can only refresh by tapping the data.

RE: Monitoring Heart Rate in Real Time

2017-04-04 Thread Simon Fogarty
ET,

Even the apple watch doesn't give real time HR readings,

The best HRM devices giving real time readings are the Polar devices where you
have the heart rate monitor strap like your H7 and a wrist watch device which
constantly reads the HR reading out,
Problem is that these devices unless things have changed majorly in the passed
couple of years, hey wont talk for you.

Only way I can think of doing this is with a non apple phone or with the Apple
Watch. I may not be the most up to date on this though.

RE: Monitoring Heart Rate in Real Time

2017-04-03 Thread Simon Fogarty
Hi ET,

I have the H7 Also and a wahoo HR HRM pretty much the same as the H7,

I can't get much more than a delayed read out form the apps I've tried,

It's not the HRM devices, they're some of the best you ca get without going to
the big cost research devices.

I haven't been able to find an app that gives real time HR read outs.

I now use one that is from Wahoo called Wahoo Fitness, allows me to keep track
of my cycling workout
Good luck.
