Re: Path finder: A nice replacement to Finder

2009-08-25 Thread Krister Ekstrom

Hi,
It appears that in list view and symbol view, Pathfinder doesn't
display text correctly while in collumn view, it appears to show
everything correctly.I don't know what to think about that really,
what if someone wants to use list view? There appears to be menus from
which you can open a folder of your choise, but haven't yet
investigated this. Perhaps someone who's good at talking to developers
and educating about VO should take a look at Path finder and tell the
developers what is wrong. I'm afraid i'm not so good at the education
part of that.

2009-08-24 Thread Krister Ekstrom

Hello,
Funny you should mention that program. I checked it out and found that
the only view in which it worked was list view i think. In other views
it was jampacked with unknowns that VO couldn't act upon. It's
possible there has been an update in the month or two since i tested
it on my system, and that would be nice. I however dropped the program
since i think that if a program forces me to use one view and one view

Path finder: A nice replacement to Finder

2009-08-23 Thread Søren Jensen

Hi all.

I've just found a very nice application called Path Finder, which is a
replacement for the original Finder on the mac. The application have a
lot of nice features, and it seems to be fully accessible. You can
move or cut files with this application, it can compress files into a
lot of filetypes, it can open multiple windows in tabs instead of just
new windows, it can sort files and folders like in Windows, where all
the folders are shown at the top in alphabetically order, it has some
terminal features which I have no idea about what means and a tun of
more features.
You can find more information at the following link:
http://www.cocoatech.com/reviews

I'm really sorry if this application has been discussed here before.
I've did a quick search for Path finder on the mail archive, but I
couldn't find any topics about this application. I remember some
Finder replacements which has been discussed here before, but I don't
remember what they are called.
Best regards:
Søren Jensen

Do you find that it says busy allot? THat is what it's doing for me.
Other than that it seems like a powerful app.

2009-08-23 Thread Yvonne Thomson

Wow, add this to my go back and check if an app is inaccessible list.

I had a look at this a while back and couldn't see a thing. I'll have
to go give it another try now, at some point when I've got free time,
that is.
